It's not a bum lick, more of an appreciation of their fantastic effort to make it into the top division in England from the very low position they started in. If you can't appreciate that and hope they do well, what do you appreciate in football?
Has anyone wrote an article calling him out over his comments yesterday? He was more than happy to big up the transfer policy we have and talk about how happy he was to work with it.
Its more the training camp/bonding stuff though isnt it. SMc will want to spend as much time as possible with the whole squad and this is the best way to do so rather than have them going home each day. Obviously the rubbish quality of opponent is largely due to the club not making any plans at all but that will be the reason.

It all depends on how the club is sold, how the player feels when he meets officials and in this regard, Man United are one of the best at selling a club and making a player feel in awe at his surroundings.
