I bet us/Villa get our fair share of Select Group referees next season due to the stature of the clubs. They do still ref now and again in the Championship you'll be afraid to hear. Madley named as Championship play off final referee. A regular Premiership ref doing that is a kick in the nuts to the regular Championship refs, that and he's f***ing terrible anyway. Play off semis were Michael Oliver, Roger East, Neil Swarbrick and Andre Marriner. All Premier League refs. Which is totally wrong if the majority of Championship games have been reffed by lower ranked refs, completely unfair on them. Championship playoff final is always done by a Premier League referee. League 1 playoff final is done by whoever is top of the merit table in the FL referee list, with 3rd in merit table as 4th official League 2 playoff final is done by whoever is 2nd in the merit table in the FL referee list, with 4th in merit table as 4th official Obviously depends on the clubs and location of referees

We need to make sure that we dont put too much expectation on him, he's torn up League 1 but that might be his level, hopefully not though

First all decide on who is going to be a manager then 1.Sack Charnley and replace someone who has experience of running a football club 2.Sack Graham Carr 3. Sack Joe Joyce as our academy is rubbish 4. Sack Peter Beardsley and replace with a competent u21 manager 5. Get rid of the deadwood/out of contract/loan players (Taylor, Doumbia, Riviere, Gouffran, Cisse, Coloccini) 6. Get rid of the players who dont want to be in Championship (Sissoko, Janmaat, Wijnaldum, Thauvin, Cabella, Saivet and probably Perez)

Honestly don't think he has enough evidence to win his case tbh, top bloke but once his legs went in 2012/13 he was a pretty poor footballer, was behind Ben Arfa, Sissoko, Marveaux & Gouffran (who had a good season in 13-14 tbf) If you go back to around page 210 of this thread the majority of people are saying he should be nowhere near the match day squad. 11 goals in 200 appearances is pretty awful for a midfielder tbh
