  1. Ask them again when they've gone 51 years without a trophy of any recognition, 65 without a meaningful one, and 93 without a league title Ah right, you don't know what relative means. Of course I do. Fully appreciate that not winning everything is a come down, but complaint about not winning something for a season or two on here of all places won't get much sympathy He's not moaning about not winning anything, he's concerned they've wasted hundreds of millions of euros on the wrong players and that they're going backwards as a result. Welcome to us circa 2005...Owen, Luque etc. A better decision in 2004 and we probably wouldn't have had Ashley, Souness, Pardew, McLaren, Carver, 2 relegations, Bruce, and the cheapest transfer policy in the league

    On this day...

This one really knarked me because when Beckham did the same thing a week later, the whole sports media collectively creamed themselves over it
  5. I'm pretty glum at the moment. We've wasted money on useless players, and the bank is dry. Our squad is old, and besides De Jong there just isn't much to build for the future. Honestly, I just want to look at us and think we are well run. If we are well run we'll eventually float back to the top. I'm sure many will join you in a minute's silence as our hearts bleed for you I'm sure you can dry your tears on the dozens of trophies gained in the last 15 years.
  6. Leicester built a lot of good will by winning the title and the helicopter tragedy. Reckon their owners would have been re-scruitinised if they were just hanging around the top 4 taking away from Arsenal/Chelsea/Tottenham
  7. Ksa aren't going to pay off or national debt because they own a football club They were going to invest in an area in need of investment at a time when a lot if investment is being pulled apparently. Again, that's not the PL's problem. No it's not their problem, but it's very short sighted considering the ultimate increase in cash they could have got from a Newcastle team providing a challenge and a team people would actually want to watch Clearly they didn't see it that way, and I kind of suspected they wouldn't when so many were saying they would never turn down potential investment on that scale. Agreed. They clearly couldn't look beyond their immediate revenue streams. They'll start worrying if Wolves and Leicester continue to hang around in the top 6 positions for a couple more seasons

  9. I don't think we can compete with the likes of Brighton. Not when our alledged budget is 30m including wages, the number of players needed, and teams around us are paying that for single players Plus we've probably already used 3 to 4 on Hendrick for signing on and wages
  10. Has anyone said that though? Yes gjohnson said it in his post No. Never said he hadn't improved, just that he's nowhere near as good as he thinks he is You literally said he's shown no noticeable improvement My mistake. Still don't think he's anywhere near as good as he thinks he is though. Doubt he's get into any of the 6 lineups though. Arsenal at a push at present
  11. Other clubs fans/trusts won't give a stuff until it's them being messed around. Presently they're too busy holding their sides laughing at our disappointment

  13. Agitating to get a move to a top 6 team for each and every transfer window since he went back? He makes Michael Owen look loyal

    Sunderland

Think we beat them. Remember being knocked out of it by Troyes (Warren Barton had a nightmare in the home game) and Deportivo La Coruna maybe? We beat 1860 with Bellamy and Robert giving a taste of the season to come. Troyes 4-4 was a great game for the neutral, they were 4-1 up and had battered us all night until about 70 minutes, where Ameobi suddenly decides to engage Messi mode and look like the best player in the world. Convinced another 5 mins in that match would have had us win 5-4
  15. I found it very funny how quickly Spain moved to call him up after the below photo happened. IIRC, They called him up immediately after this. They would have been foolish to lose him to Mali, anyway, imo. He is so different to the players they already have. I think he did. Might be age, it certainly was a factor, but he didn't have it in him to make the grade and i'm not overly sold he'd do it now at a top club. I think if he moves in the next few weeks and its to a CL club he'll struggle, and history will repeat itself. If Traore moves to a CL club it'll be the same for him. Might work for Spain having him as a supersub, but if tht's his role at a CL club, was it worth spending £60m on him? Technically he's decent, nowt special. When at manu too many holes in his game which he's improved on, but not to the level needed to be a mainstay at a CL club. I do not understand the idea that he wasn't up to grade at Man U. He was 21 or 22 at the time and made less than five appearances I believe. He was signed under Ferguson and Moyes had no interest. It was a waste of time for everyone involved, and I believe Zaha is quite bitter about it. The boy was never given a chance to make the grade. The likes of Dan James and Tahith Chong have had more chances. Older than Matty L and he’s been written off on here besides scoring more goals against manu that zaha managed for them. Zaha is massively bitter about everything, and got to agree with GJ, he’s a cunt with a massive chip on his shoulder. I think James and Chong getting games says more about where manu are than anything else. He's been massively disrespectful to Palace the whole time he's been there. Literally always looking for a move to a bigger team. Exactly the same as NZogbia was always going on about Arsenal wanting him, despite him not actually being good enough for them and hey-ho who's this Wigan? Massive club, been a fan since a child yada yada yada
  16. Care to explain why that's nonsense? Zaha hasn't shown anything to indicate he belongs in the teams he thinks he should be in....apart from the ability to win soft penalties
  17. Why though if it’s true? Manu decided it wasn’t worth the time keeping him on as he had too many flaws in the areas I’ve highlighted. Zaha made the right move and has managed to get the very best out of himself (2018) but his limit has been reached and season gone wasn’t great at all. He’s an Everton player, that’s his ceiling. Zaha is that c**t of a player who's ego way outstrips his ability. He has spent every minute at Palace trying to move to a 'bigger' club. He did, got found out and was sent back, but for some reason thinks he's still worthy of a champions league team despite not actually showing any noticeable improvement. He is to Palace what N'Zogbia was to us
  18. Would it surprise anyone if it came out she was one of Ashleys mates, and was essentially the uber-Bishop?
  19. Think Bruce's ego will allow him to sign a player then not use him? El Mohammedy, and Alex Bruce casually wave....
  20. It's clear that Obertan was actually a scientific genius, and has mastered cloning
  21. Not sure there's any problem signing an 18 year old on a free from Liverpool. Nearly every club does it Say that again 10 games in to next season when he's started every game and done the square root of f**k all
  22. So standard reply from the generic MP who hasn't got a clue about about what they've actually been asked. Might have well just put "F**k you, leave me alone" in the response
  23. he'll probably be first choice
  24. So we've totally given up and chosen the makem route to the championship
  25. This whole situation is like trying to build a relationship with some lass/lad you met at the Bigg Market, and thought was fit as at the time. Yes you might have a date or two and still really want them, but then you find out that 'his/her dads' family are total lunatics who would make you dig your own grave before shoving you in it, and his/her mams family are so terrified of everything to say anything to anyone so they don't upset the neighbours. End result is they stop talking to you and you've not got a clue why EDIT...and his/her mates...Liver Bird and Cockerell are always whispering in their ear saying..."nah, stick with us and you can do better"
