Always seemed to tear us apart with ease

As I said before this game is getting too complicated for anyone but advanced accountants and lawyers to understand.... Media s*** stirrers don't help. On one hand we're bidding 60m for Olise, and on the other we haven't got a pot to piss in without selling half the first team. Is it conceivable the club actually knows more about what's available than Sky and Talksport do?
-
Yep and Mike Ashley mkii will give you a taste of what we endured for 14 years....cost cutting everywhere, buying players for profit and not what the team adds, outstanding lack of awareness, only thing he can't or won't do is that because ineos materials aren't generally available to the public they won't be plastered all over the wreckage that is Old Trafford
-
Moreso I'd say. At its shortest it's a minute walk to be right there. Wallsend Byker are at best a 10 min car journey. No idea what it's like on public transport.
-
Clearly ignorant in this matter but what is the actual difference between the replica and players version? Why is it even an option? Surely anyone one less than blind can tell that if it's a newcastle shirt? I got a knockoff one in turkey so my son could play in the pool without having to be covered in suncream....its so obviously fake it even has "Saudia" as the sponsor, but the badge is embroidered and better quality than the castore ones, but it's still so obviously Newcastle, that no-one even noticed it was a fake until we stumbled across a local at the airport And tbh looks better than what Adidas have churned out for us
-
So what's to stop the hotels new owner (a Chelsea business I believe) selling it back to CFC for a quid, then CFC selling it back to them for millions again? Probably is something, but it sounds like something they'd try and likely get away with
-
I'm sure Doris, Betty, Rita, and Florence will sew their fingers to the bone to satisfy the slavering masses
-
Meanwhile in the Adidas retro shirt sweatshop... They look a touch under staffed 😅
-
This is all getting far too complicated for anyone beyond advanced accountants and lawyers now. Sport of the people? About as much as UK is really a democracy. Keep it simple. Put a maximum spend of say 200m per season including agents fees and wages. If you can afford it fine if you can't, you can find it any way you can. If you go bust doing it, it's your problem
-
Not exactly...just saying that I could see the PL coming out with something very close after Masters had been locked in a bondage dungeon for a few hours with Fenway, Levy, Boehly, Mansour, Kroenke and Radcliffe( who's obviously in a gimp suit tied to Glazier string)
-
Let's be realistic...any luxury tax will be proportionally awarded to league teams with the highest rolling positions over any period where the average top 6 has remained in the top 6. Qualification for a share will require a minimum of 3 years out of 6 in the top 6, and a single years Qualification will be deemed irrelevant unless a rolling 3 year term has been achieved, and then conditional on approval from the 6 members who have qualified with a 3 year rolling term. Bloody hell....I could write PL rules 🙄
-
True, but I don't recall there being such a media circle jerk over us than there has over them. Probably just unconscious bias
-
Got to remember in the mid 90s we weren't far behind Man U commercially. A couple of bad board decisions later then were 30 years later and 100s of millions behind
-
I would I'm afraid. It would be awesome to spend like Chelsea and City did when they were taken over....or even like Chelsea still do despite being blatant and obviously suspect about it. Having a few overpaid mercenaries who would improve us short term ( ala Robinho at city) would be worth being able to build a long term era of success
-
The way they've been lauded this season compared to us last should suggest that the '6' should be more scared of them than they were/are of us
-
This....I used to think winning with honour mattered, but I've never seen Nufc win anything in my lifetime. The closest I've seen is agonising near misses. In this time I've seen Chelsea going from the brink of administration to champions in a couple of years. Man City being what would be now a League One side to the most dominant team in top flight history. Money has and will always be dominant one way or another. So if PIF are actually serious with us we will get there eventually. Just hope I live long enough to see it
-
Std business practice....guarantee as much income as possible for the foreseeable future and hope nothing changes. Trouble is the ones dictating the income for the predictable future don't want anyone else taking their current share. I'd happily bet my next wage that next season Villa get a tough CL draw...prob R. Madrid, Inter and Leverkusen, with domestic cup draws of City And or Arsenal away in both. Everyone on here kind of predicted our cup draws thinking they were taking the piss with how difficult we could have got, but really weren't far off...especially with our domestic cup draws
-
Nah they'll just sell Palmer to themselves and they'll be sorted
-
Who was it that stuck £182 on Man U? Hope the dirty filthy money makes them feel better ??
-
Got it on semi good authority that Ritchie's going back to Portsmouth
-
And totally sickening
-
Soooo much not the point. Yes we didn't do enough to earn it on merit, but to hear the commentators go on about "long suffering" Man U fans is galling since they literally won a trophy last year...again at our expense. Give them 55 years and it might be more sympathetic. Only plus side is that their future looks bleak with that loon Ratcliffe controlling things
-
Just 20 minutes too late
-
Sickening that these clubs which are now effectively comedy side shows (man u/chelsea) are being so badly mismanaged still make Europe. Ultimately our own fault it was out of our hands, but take away a couple of individual mistakes and we'd never have been in this situation
-
Missed the point entirely. If we can find someone as good as isak under the noses of everyone, surely we have more imagination that looking at DCL. Maybe our scouting team is seeing something I just don't with him
