  1. That picture of Jenas having missed a sitter against us and the crowd literally laughing at him
  2. Better still...reckon we could get Fumaca back on a free
  3. Please, please, please. The shattering of their idol when he struggles to guide them to mid-table would be legendary. Would top Dalglishs second time around
  4. Well the long and the short of it is, if we had money to spend and deals we're suitable we would have done it. It doesn't look like we are so it's a fair conclusion that there's either no money available, or no-one that we're actually looking at. Saying that most of our deals have e co e out of the blue, so see what happens co.e the end of the window
  5. The very epitome of the average Premier league player. Always good enough to start but never really good enough to be noticed by better clubs. Wouldn't say he was over-rated though, as I've yet to come across anyone who really paid any attention to him let alone rated him. Must have had something to have played so many games though
  6. His penalty technique was amazing too. Always low and into the side netting with power...never mattered if the keeper knew where he was going they just couldn't get near them
  7. Also depends on how long his initial contract was for....if it was 2 years than anything over £6m will show as profit, and will be helpful on paper. On the pitch the other hand...
  8. Pretty much a cross between Shearer, Messi and Ronaldo from what I've heard on here... Meanwhile in real life. No. Only the most dedicated weirdos who watch French football have probably only heard his name once or twice
  9. Reckon he was one of those players who looked great every day in training, but didn't translate to match days most of the time. On his (very few) good days he could look a world beater, then in the next match would look like he'd never seen a football let alone kicked one.
  10. Obviously didn't see his time at Leeds. Garbage for us but was brilliant for them
  11. No to changing Howe with Mourinho. He was brilliant about 20 years ago and built a Porto team from nothing to trophy winners, but since then everything he's done has been driven by a pretty much bottomless cheque book. His own hype went to his head and has clearly lost his original magic, and has turned so poisonous that it's virtually impossible for him to spend more than 3 years anywhere without upsetting someone to the degree that he's either sacked or leaves. Without ffp restrictions he could be a short term option to get a trophy quickly, but with the current situation he's very much yesterdays man and is rapidly heading to PFM territory
  12. I genuinely thought Willock had already left
  13. Apart from the fact that we didnt, and actually made a loss on him
  14. I struggled to tell them apart if I looked away for a second
  15. To the tune of Louis Armstrong..... I see trees of black, I see trees off white, red stripes too, and they're crying in their s***e. And I think to myself...what a wonderful world
  16. Exactly this....plenty of world class managers fail at world class clubs. Has to be the right time and fit for both. Man U are a great example of this...
  17. Scored more goal at St James Park for Forest than he did for us. Sickening
  18. It's not a single result though....its now 5 losses in 6 games. Unacceptable for a team trying to survive in the league let alone challenging for the top 5/6
  19. They sat back, and we made basic mistakes in attack which they took full advantage of....their front players tore through us at will, but they always seemed to have 9/10 back when we were trying to get at them. We were poor again they were effective and could have easily had another 2 or 3 goals, while we were just slinging ineffective crosses to their goalkeeper
  20. Well from our perspective he has credit. Unfortunately from an owners point of view credit runs out a lot quicker than it builds. Like it or not 5 defeats in 6 will have questions started to be asked. The January window will show if PIF actually have the same faith as most of us
  21. Totally anonymous today. Barely realised he was playing till he was substituted. Great Colback impression
  22. Must have been watching a different player...he did nothing of any use
  23. Something tells me we won't be dealing with Milan any time soon
