What on Earth has gone wrong? I was never behind the McClaren appointment but with the new coaching staff, the likes of Cathro seemingly really fresh and positive, as well as the new signings - actually spending some money - I was somewhat optimistic. Not of achieving anything great this season but at least in terms of seeing improvement and new ideas. But as mentioned, it's like we've gone back to Carver's reign of terror.

Hard to disagree with any of that. Defensively we look so vulnerable, midfield is a complete joke and we don't seem to have any kind of plan or cohesion in our attacks. Terrible stuff

Calling it a 'barren run' seems a bit odd when we've played the majority of 2 of the 3 games with ten men, thus consigning us to only really being able to defend for the most of the time.

Sissoko for me. Not our most consistent player but I think his 'peak' when he's on form is higher than anyone else's.

Total speculation here but Man Utd will probably be selling De Gea before the window shuts, and Lloris seems to be the name people think they'll go for. Any chance Spurs are in for Krul? I remember him being linked with them before Lloris signed a new contract last year IIRC

He's obviously not much of an athlete but he seems to read the game incredibly well, his movement and positioning off the ball is great
