  1. Steve Parish is defo Tindering. head always down on his phone.
  2. Collins sent off, Giroud not starting, No CS for Begovic/Ferdinand...Mata being useless. not the best of starts
  3. Matter of time before WestHam score here.
  4. The entire summer, the hype around LVG has been ridiculous. I've never seen Ferguson praised to even 1/5th of the hype LVG has gotten in summer. It was to the point that some fans were convinced Van Gaal is actually better ! People really really really underestimate the animal that was Ferguson. You could put Pep + Carlo + Simeone + Klopp on Man Utd's bench together and they'll never reach the heights of Ferguson.
  5. Okay, I jinxed it. Barkley out for 6-8 weeks. Will miss Chelsea/Arsenal/ and likely Liverpool games.
  6. Begovic Ferdinand Cahill Davies Sterling Barkley Ramsey Mata Costa Rooney Bojan Bench: Krul, Henderson, Collins, Wisdom Bojan has Villa at home to prove himself, or else he'll be immediately fucked off. Gutted at inability to fit Sturridge in, but I'll probably do it after the international break. Confident Barkley will play well in Everton's first few games (always tends to raise his game against big sides)
  7. I, like many others have included mata and rooney due to Man Utd's easy opening fixtures. But looking back at LVG's Netherlands, their team (With prime Robben and RVP) struggled to score goals against park the bus teams (which I suspect likes of Swansea/Sunderland/Burnley) will go for in that 3-5-2 formation. They'd most likely win the games, but I think we may be deceived at idea of goal/assist galore by Mata/Rooney in those games.
  8. GW1: Man Utd 2-1 Swansea Leicester 1-1 Everton QPR 1-0 Hull Stoke 2-0 Aston Villa West Brom 1-0 Sunderland West Ham 1-1 Spurs Arsenal 2-0 Crystal Palace Liverpool 3-1 Southampton Newcastle 2-2 Man City Burnley 0-2 Chelsea
  9. ^ Yea. Since Lovren has both played in Left side and Right side of a CB pairing, he can play with either. Rodgers paired Lovren with Skrtel vs. Dortmund, so I guess it will be the pairing that will start on Sunday.
  10. ^ He's played on the wing for Lille last season. He said when he signed, Rodgers showed him clips of him when he was 16 , so apparently been heavily scouted for a while. I think the starting XI vs. Southampton will be: Mignolet, Manquillo, Skrtel, Lovren, Moreno, Gerrard, Can, Henderson, Sterling, Sturridge, Coutinho . Quiet a few players injured now (Lallana, Markovic, Flanagan)...be interesting to see who can force his way in when they are fit.
  11. ^ Disagree. His debut vs. Lyon in CL 2009 was very impressive and he was one of the very few players that actually played well under Hodgson and Dalglish for Liverpool. Did his ACL 2 years ago and never looked the same player. Pretty much like Lucas. ACL is a nasty nasty thing.
  12. Martin Kelly to Crystal Palace for 1.5M Best of luck to him...shame consecutive injuries stopped his progress.
  13. Dzeko/Jovetic/Giroud are all 8.5 . Definitely my biggest dilemma left. Well, mostly between Dzeko and Giroud....City's opening games are tough, but it's not like they don't score for fun against big teams anyways....
  14. Rojo to Man Utd for 16M reportedly.
  15. Is it me, or is there a surprising lack of City players on most people's teams (based on what posted so far and in other places I've seen) ?! They are the champions having scored 102 goals and keeping the second most number of clean sheets in the league last year. Guess people are expecting them to **not have as much motivation and hunger** this season...
  16. Wary of Sanchez for that price. Bought into the Ozil hype last year, and he was total toss for his price. My rise to top 3 in N-O coincided by selling Ozil. reckon Ramsey is a safer bet from Arsenal's midfielders.
  17. ^ that'd be idiotic though. EL winner will get CL next year, and Everton/Spurs aim in the end is to get to CL. It's a totally new avenue, and be ridiculous if dismissed. Not to mention, getting into CL by winning a trophy is a lot more awesome than by finishing 3rd/4th. Not sure about Spurs, but I am certain Everton will take it very seriously. What do you think is more realistic and do-able...coming in the top 4 in the league or winning the EL? I'd personally be happy with 5th place finish if it meant we dropped out of CL into EL and went on to win it. Gorgeous trophy.
  18. Absolutely gutted for Legia. They had a legit chance of being the first polish team in CL groups since 1996 and that tv money could have gone a long way in helping their football....but Celtic are worth more financially to UEFa, so of course they get the decision. An appeal? What's the pint. No way Uefa change all those draws already made
  19. ^ was hoping QPR would come and buy him, but it looks unlikely with Isla's purchase now. He really shouldn't. He can't defend the slightest atm, and him being good going forward it a myth as well. 101 league goals scored last season, only 2 assists by Johnson. 1 goal in 2 seasons as well. He's basically useless. With WHU getting Jenkinson on loan, and QPR signing Isla, it's hard to see a Prem team coming after him now. but you never know with the dead-line day madness.
  20. There is absolutely nothing into those Falcao/Cavani enquires. Smacks off "We tried to replace Luis with a star player" PR, when his eventual replacement will be Bony/Lacazatte/someone not in the top class. Got no complaints, because the top tier are on absolutely ridiculous wages. Falcao's Monaco wages translates to over 400k/week in England. on Cissokho, decent signing for Villa. He got plenty of shit last season, but he's sound defensively, and certainly more reliable than Glen fucking Johnson.
  21. Ryan Hubbard @Ryan_Hubbard · 10m In the past Debrecen were handed a €15k fine for fielding an ineligible player. When Sion did it, they were guilty of much more. Ryan Hubbard @Ryan_Hubbard · 24m Seems a little harsh to me, and previous incidents of this nature have resulted in fines rather than walkovers. Ryan Hubbard @Ryan_Hubbard · 27m Bereszyński received a three-game ban after a red card last season, but allegedly wasn't registered for the two games with St Patrick's. There is hope after all.
  22. In EL today by the way, Southampton legend Vegard Forren missed a penalty at 85th minute (if scored Molde would eliminate Ukrainian side), then scored an own goal 3 minutes later, and then Molde missed another penalty in extra time. The awkward moment when Iceland, Finland, Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan have more teams left in European competitions than Norway.
  23. It says the player wasn't registered for the tie vs. St.Patrricks. But he didn't play in the first leg vs. Celtic last week in Warsaw....usually, you register your squad for each round/ and not each game. So if he was registered for this tie vs. Celtic, he must have been registered for first leg as well (In which he didn't play ?!)
  24. ^ Exactly. And he came on as a sub in 86th minute. When the tie was 6-1 in aggregate already. apparently Legia reps are in Geneva awaiting a decision. It will come soon. Be fucking gutted for them if their spot is taken. They don't even have enough money to pay UEFA off....lower wage bill than Rangers
