I think if we take a step back and look with the Benefit of hindsight your point holds weight. But at the time, we were talking about Tonali being a bargain it was the point deduction that focused the minds.

Pre-season (2025/26) - NUFC to play Atletico Madrid in Sela Cup

That’s a lot of marketing dollars, that’s Shibuya crossing. -
Truthfully the position couldn’t have been avoided imho. I know what you’re saying and understand your reasoning but I don’t see it. If we didn’t sign Tino for example we’d have been screwed when trips was missing. I know people will point to Barnes too and whilst I agree he was the right player wrong time I still would have had us spending that money on a rw. We needed to invest heavily to close the massive gap and we’ve actually come through the over side unscathed, the perfect deal doesn’t exist and all that.

Am I the only one who thinks he’s going to be really good but we did the right thing selling?

His technique on his left foot is awful

It’s probably bullshit and can be ignored.

Friendly for Tonali I wonder. -
He needs peddling asap unfortunately, we can’t have another season of him being injured and Isak being flogged.
-
They were always going to unless he was unequivocal which it seems he wasn’t.

@Yorkiehas secretly outed himself as Howe out with such statements

We did raise the funds by selling two players who are quite trivial to us at this stage. Also, the counter point is who wouldn’t you have bought to cover the shortfall? You can’t have it both ways.
-
What psr fuck up is that?

I know what you’re trying to say here but it isn’t coming across particularly well imo. She’s a minority shareholder.
-
If we are to expand the stadium and training ground this will require significant capital investment which will have to be done by either taking on loans or from our owners. Doubt it via loans would be crippling as interest rates are high, doing it via our owners requires them to actually put up money; AS simply doesn’t have the finances to do it. They should have the feasibility study at this juncture and have a full executive team in place. It’s a very logically time for her to take her profit and move to being a fan.
-
Highly unlikely, I think it’s just the right time. Ultimately they can’t invest to the levels needed and if they keep diluting the shares they are just further delaying actually profiting and also incurring further interest and risk. The club is an investment for them; sure they fell in love and all that but the prime motivator was profit which they will have handsomely.
-
Without a doubt, they have no money at all. (Relatively speaking in comparison with the other share holders). The direction of the club has always been in the hands of the Saudi AS is just the front lady.
-
Aye worst source possible but it makes sense. Her shares are being diluted all the time and she has bills to pay. Ultimately it’s an investment for her.

Wouldn’t Eddie have some claim to the credit of him being worth 70m food for though.
-
That’s exactly what happened, people are speculating that if Wilson were to be sold it would free up wages to bring in DCL.
-
No way we pay 80m that you can relax about.

Haha, it’s good harmless fun. Something to discuss
