Hindsight being 20/20 and all, but it seems most of us rated our summer business between 7-8 (myself included). Looking back and with the benefit of that hindsight do you standby your assessment?

Not really, I don’t believe any manager in the world could have achieved what Eddie has with us in this period of time when you take into account the starting point and the FFP limitations.

At this point I wouldn’t trade Eddie for any manager in the world.

This is modern day football please get used to it.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m sure PIF would love to bring Jose, to the pro league. His profile really suits what they are looking for. in terms of us, not at all.

I think having an out and out creative central midfielder means we need to change our entire game plan which I don’t think is feasible given all of our recruitment has been geared towards our current style of play. What the club does need to do is be ruthless I’m afraid, we can only have 25 players max so anyone who is injured too frequently basically has to be replaced. If the average first team player is going to be 40-50m we can only replace 3 a year due to FFP. it’s a really tough job and you can see why nobody has consistently bridged the gap between the big teams since FFP came in.

It’s not known, even Caulking and Waugh claim not to know.

Howe isn’t going anywhere and rightfully so. The club knew this season would be extremely difficult and I’m sure what we’ve experienced thus far is even harder than what they forecasted. We’ve had the worst draws I can remember as well as the worst injury crisis. The club is all in on Howe, it’s quite evident by not only the players we’ve bought but also factors such as appointing his nephew as scout.

Threatening will do nothing though, they will have to actually strike which is really difficult for them to actually do. They will make enemies of everyone if they were to do so. The best hope is some form of amicable solution but that means someone getting less money, and in capitalism; boy do people hate getting less money even if they have more than they could ever need.

Absolutely, unfortunately players are a disposable commodity. Federations and owners want more games as it means more revenue the players who are of course employees have to suck it up.
