None of our players are “great”, but he’s clearly a PL-quality fullback who’s only going to improve. I mean, he's far down on the list of worries, but he is in my opinion, bang on lower premier league standard, which is exactly where we are. He's just infuriatingly s*** in the final third Is he though? I mean yeah, he was shit in the final third yesterday but since he's arrived I would say he has been more effective in that area of the pitch than most of our recent full backs. I actually think he's improved greatly since he arrived (yesterday aside).

He's obviously a bit tense, like the first day at a new job. The narrative around signing him and connections to the north east are probably adding to the pressure and what he thinks everybody expects of him. Once he loosens up a bit he will be fine, his game is taking players on and taking shots at goal. Him feeling tense takes away both of those things, or atleast makes them a lot harder. Just hope our fans give him the time and support he needs. Couldn't agree more with this. He looks completely devoid of confidence, that's all. Watching him for Norwich and England U21 he obviously has the talent that Rafa has seen he just needs time in the first XI. My prediction is he'll become the player we were expecting in the latter stages of this season.

Manquillo is so poor on the left. Every time he receives the ball he turns back to our goal. Also, got it wrong with Diame today. Should have been Hayden. He offers more in the final third plus Shelvey and Diame look like they never know where the other one is!

A fairly basic review of how Rafa is setting us up this season for anybody interested. Not bad overall barring the odd mistake (apparently Joselu was very workmanlike for us in the Championship ).

Have to say I never noticed the lad. Remember him down Oxford and he was poor. Birmingham at home he was so so. Thought he was quite tidy on the ball and nothing more. Mainly sideways passes and indecision.

We did this for a season too, it's only an hour on the train from York so very doable. We've been travelling up from York this season. As you say, train from York is doable. If numbers increased we'd drive up and park at Heworth Metro as an alternative!

Just been on, got a block of about 350 in L7 Just been on the blower to them and they swear that L7F section is for away fans so he couldn't sell them to me. Don't think I've ever seen away fans that far along? it is strange online states L7F visitors but I can buy a ticket. I'm sure they must have released that block to home fans or be chaos Yeah, must be so recent even the box office aren't aware. Managed to get a couple in that corner down in level 2 anyway!
