My impression is that the low emphasis on defence in the Eredivisie makes it possible for mediocre forwards/strikers to impress and score shitloads of goals. Thus you have to really put in an effort scouting-wise when signing attacking players from the Dutch league.

Howay man, they're a massive club in their own right. How many players have excelled there and got big transfers? Not like they are some Euopean football's backwater. I'm just saying we should be able to compete with Porto. They're a big club yes, but they're not Real Madrid or Bayern Munich. He's 20, he'll be looking for a stepping stone and the PL is a much better shop window than the Portuguese league. He'll probably play more here too.
