  1. When is the game tonight?
  2. Quickbooks > Wonga though.
  3. Aye, wrong thread though.
  4. Have a feeling I'll love this mad fat bastard.
  5. This. Do we currently have one player who can deliver a good cross? Sissoko, Cabella, Janmaat Sissoko shouldn't play on the wing though. Cabella has been hit & miss. Janmaat yes.

  7. Isn't he rated to be the better than Depay as well? Not even close So how good is he? Well, to my mind Memphis Depay, who is 4 years younger, is already a better player and has the potential to become Van Persie/Robben level. Wijnaldum on the other hand is what I would classify as a fairly solid squad player at international level for Holland. For me, he probably wouldn't have been a starter in Brazil, and I think he was often the weak link when he played. Probably a similar level to Cabaye and Sissoko for me. Sissoko with more technical ability/a brain? Yes, if you want, and a little bit less strength and pace on the break. From what I've seen Wijnaldum seems better off the ball than Sissoko, more intelligent runs.
  8. Sure Siem will love that. Oops #14 then. Colback should have #41. Give him #11, f*** Gouffran.

  10. Wiljnaldum will get #10, surely.
  11. De Telegraaf say he'll sign today while Scott Wilson says "decision expected in the next 48 hours".
  12. No different to any other business in the world controlling the message they give out. The press are free to write what they want the rest of the time, but there's no huge controversy in controlling what you can control. It's one of the first rules of marketing. You think NUFC do their marketing/communication like any other football club then? Inviting "media partners" only to the unveiling of the new manager so that they can control the questions asked, you think that's "no different to any other" business/football club? It's not different to any other BUSINESS....and yes, football clubs do control what questions are asked etc. We're just going one further and controlling who gets the information. I don't really have a problem with it personally. Imagine viewing your football club at a normal business and not a public / socials / regional interest. Exactly.

  14. They're probably not sure what the mistakes were tbh. "Securing Premier League status on the last day of the season is unacceptable, but why are we here? Not a f***ing clue. Let's just bring in some new coaches who hopefully do have a clue."
  15. "Alongside Sky Sports and the Daily Mirror, SMc also gave interviews to the club's media channels followed by local written media and BBC Newcastle. The club felt that this was the most appropriate way in which to announce SMc's appointment to fans and best control and re-enforce the positive messages the club wished to deliver to them." While not exactly shocking, it's pretty remarkable that they're so open with it.

    The Coaching Staff

@paulfraserecho: Fascinating to watch Ian Cathro work with defence, asking them to press high up the pitch. A very assertive and confident young coach. #nufc Promising.
  17. Right, forget about him then. Just make a proper bid for Austin, ffs.
  18. Derby did play possession football under McClaren, got some criticism for not being more direct IIRC, so it's possible we'll be going in that direction.
