  1. Think Thauvin's being signed as a wide player, we've got an abundance of number 10s
  2. Love Accra. Such a colourful and vibrant city, so much soul. Follow Hearts of Oak by chance? Or any other Accra-based team? Watched them a couple times when I was last over there and loved the party vibe

    Florian Thauvin

Can't we sign a left back first? I swear we used to have about 30 left backs, with at least a third of those on the pitch at any given time
  4. Are you Ghanaian TCD? Indeed. Whereabouts are you from in Ghana out of interest? I love that part of the world. (Don't worry I'll go back to slating your drivel in a minute if you like )
  5. Agreed. The last 5 or so games I watched him play for Liverpool, he was absolutely terrible. Looked unfit almost, touch was heavy, seldom bombed forward and was all over the place defensively and positionally. I'd rather he stayed well away.
  6. Wow. That is truly shocking. The one that hits the wall jesus
  7. I looked like the guy in your avatar watching that.

    Steve McClaren

Every football hipster I've ever known has been either a terrible footballer, generally crap at sport/exercise or desperate for attention... so they spend their time watching grainy streams of Lokomotiv Mezra in the Bulgarian third division whilst scribbling notes about how Boris the fullback doesn't track the wing-deployed right central inside shuttler through the transitional phase decoy in the 2nd third build play.

Was he f***. He was always involved in play deeper back. Howay man, false number 9? Its bullshuttler Watch like 90% of his goals man. Les lived in the box.

I played the game to a pretty high level as a kid/teen and like to think I'm a decent enough student of it these days (without perhaps the same level of arrogant self-assurance as yourself) - but I've never heard of a shuttler. My erudition could use some work oh great one, please teach us the way.
  11. Dirty cunt, hope he cleans up after himself
  12. I remember that guy! He made staying up into the early hours to listen to a pre season fixture the US worth it... 'negative pass to the midfield circle', 'Demba Baaaa', 'Ameeohhbii doing some lollipops'

From that article, from one of his UK girlfriends- Sounds about right.
  14. Incredible how extreme/black & white the opinions on HBA are on here. It's literally either 'he's fat, lazy and the sole engineer of his downfall' or 'he's been horribly mismanaged and it's everyone else's fault.' The truth lies somewhere in the middle does it not? Hatem is probably the most talented player I've ever seen pull on an NUFC shirt (I am only 26 though). The way he can beat a man is incredible. That being said, he can be incredibly frustrating on the pitch too. I'd love to have a fit, motivated HBA still here though. The excitement he brings on the pitch is difficult to replicate, that's why people are still talking about him. Pardew mismanaged him to an extent but his attitude (and from all accounts in training) didn't help. His weight problems are surely an indicator of that- http://s16.postimg.org/ou29hye4l/image.jpg I really hope he makes a good fist of it at Nice. He's still got a few years in him if he can dedicate himself to the cause. I certainly hope I get to watch him fly past a few players one more time.
  15. Remember that lad that posted about the forum last year on Twitter? Did he go this year/has anyone from this year posted about the forum? I might have just made that up but I'm pretty sure I remember a few tweets about some pretty nothing questions right after the forum had finished.
  16. Just like a new signing. http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/newcastle-uniteds-forgotten-man-shane-9607163 Kid from Northampton signs, and Shane's back. Ashley keeping his promises
  17. It's amazing how little he knows all things considered Most local papers at least have some idea what's going on but he knows absolutely f***ing nothing. It's staggering. Whenever anyone pulls him up on his writing ability/lack of knowledge/incoherent sentence structures he just replies 'I've been doing this for 20 years' as if that's some sort of burn I'm not a Geordie or from the NE but I hate the way this guy is the main representative for sports journalism up there. It's an insult to the region.
  18. Agree, thought Sweden were mightily composed tonight.
  19. Pritchard looked decent. Don't know why Ward-Prowse was taken off, we looked incredibly disjointed in midfield (lack of movement off the ball...the English disease) and our set pieces were wank without his whipped delivery. We needed to find a way to get the ball to Kane without going overly direct, him dropping into the middle third of the pitch to collect the ball doesn't work, especially without runners going past him...then when Ings comes on he gets shafted out to the left?! Strange. I hope Jenkinson isn't our future at RB. Carvalho's so simple and classy as a footballer. Reads the game brilliantly too. Gotta beat a confident Sweden now.

    Charlie Austin

Arsenal, S'hampton, Chelsea & Bayern all play with target men. It doesn't mean you hoof it. Dan Gleebals never said they didn't. Exactly...I swear TCD just says things for the sake of saying them to try and sound clever

I've probably got this wrong, but hasn't wor Dutchie turned us down 3 times? Once after Pardew left, another with 3 games to go and the last time just before being dismissed by Derby? Regardless of how many times, it's indicative of our desperation that a manager can turn us down more than once in such a short timeframe and still be essentially the only consideration for the job. Like others have said though, he's our best appointment for a few years and I'm happy to back him for now, am getting sick and tired of constantly feeling negative towards the club we all love - plus he seems like a nice bloke who'll walk away if he can't hack it. Some of his teams have played decent, expansive stuff over the years and I'm hoping he adopts a similar approach here. I would feel a lot more comfortable if Carver, Stone and co were ditched though.

You'll do the usual Ronaldo cycle, i.e. I'm not impressed but it's not as bad as you plebs are making out - it's actually great having a proper manager, unlike the last one - he's a god amongst men and far more handsome than I ever realised actually, can't believe you lot thought Carver would be better - OK it's gone a bit s*** but he's not half as s*** as your hero Coloccini - Right, I'm turning up outside his house to have a word. nailed it

I really don't get our policy of hiring shit English plodders as managers/head coaches/whatever At least, like Hughton, he's a good bloke. The subs that he made in the playoffs alone makes me seriously worry about his tactics though
  24. Man that guy's such a fat loud mess
