Just turned sky on and came on here to complain. I guess they're the 16:30 game but come on.
-
One of those games where I don't want either team to win.
-
If there's going to be transfer deadlines it needs to be before the season starts like.
-
Not really a PSR thing that. If they do manage to sell him for a decent wedge then it's just pure profit. You'd want that regardless of PSR.
-
And people say Eddie isn't ruthless enough.
-
Yeah would be madness to not appeal imo.
-
VAR couldn't intervene. The ref blew his whistle before the ball struck the back of the net. Was just a mistake by the ref in his first game which he has admitted. One of those that in some ways is easier to stomach.
-
10m off the price for each goal he concedes.
-
So you're saying the ref didn't see it properly, just made something up in his head as to what might have happened, shown Schar a red, and deserves no criticism?
-
Yellow card for Diaz for taking a player out after the whistle has gone. Yellow card for Schar for squaring up to a player. Yellow card for Diaz for squaring up to a player. Potentially a red card for initiating head contact. Yellow card for Diaz for simulation. Given the footage of Diaz actually initiating the contact id be amazed if we don't appeal and get this overturned. I'd want an explanation for why VAR didn't sort it out too.

It's the sort of game we are going to get from him for a while. He's 19, and whilst there's lots they can do on the training pitch he needs game time to learn. There were times yesterday where he wasn't great, but then the same can be said of the team as a whole. And he did keep us in the match with goal line clearance. I think we lose without that. So it wasn't a fully bad day at the office.
-
Squaring up to someone isn't a failed attempt at violent conduct in the same way a swing and a miss is. What are you talking about?
-
We have to appeal that surely? And ask for an explanation about why Diaz only got a yellow when Schar got a red.
-
Found that baffling by Shearer. Points out they both did it. Then his conclusion was the right decision had been made.
-
How the fuck was that not a red?
-
Seems a bit nervous but articulate so far.
-
Everton might feel a bit hard done by there. What looked like a stone waller not given, then one overturned with a non working screen. The overturned one was one of those that looked soft/attacker looking for it but it was less clearly and obviously wrong than Schar's which they left be.
-
And that in a nutshell is why VAR is shit. If you're going to spend time to watch a video replay of something and hold up the match whilst you are doing it then arrive at the correct decision. This arbitrary notion of "was that clearly and obviously an error enough for me to intervene" is obviously a nonsense which is why it's been constantly argued about every single week. And this season they've announced they've moved the line for what constitutes clear and obvious so we can argue about it even more.

Why is MOTD opening on a Friday match? They don't usually do that so they?
-
He has to balance out giving them a yellow tbf.
-
I wondered why it was like that. It's just in squad number order which is daft.
-
Along with Trippier presumably on the bench that feels a bit like a changing of the guard.
-
Livramento and Hall starting is a good sign. It was the only nervousness I had. Those 2 need to be getting all the minutes they can.

lolololol sums the game up.
