I don't think he's been a bag of shit for us, and certainly in terms of the culture and representing the country he's done an exceptional job. But he's a very limited football manager and that's been evident for a long time. And I still maintain despite the plaudits he gets for tournament progress we've generally looked poor and folded at the first sight of real opposition. As you say this is a somewhat done to death argument at this point.

Change in play style. We aren't a bottom half team anymore. Dubs has regressed with age. He was good when he joined.

I think in these and Dubravka's cases they at least were decent for us at one point and were part of the team that got us promoted and then helped secure our status as a Premier League team (despite Ashley's best efforts). So in that sense I don't mind the great servant moniker. Yeah as a group they're mostly not good enough now but that's not their fault. Ashley is responsible for most of them still being here. There's plenty of players this doesn't apply to mind.

Whilst I agree with this point in principal I don't know if a tournament with as few games as this gives you that luxury. Foden/TAA were just so obviously not working I don't see what he intends to find out by trying it again.
