So he might not have "intended to hurt him" but he did intend to perform an action which could have hurt him. Now yes, it's football and everything on the pitch can cause harm but it's usually in good faith such as challenging for the ball. That's what tips this challenge into red card territory for me in that there was no effort to play the ball at all. Yellow card just for that fact alone. The studs on the ankle we see yellows for all the time and had it just been a normal challenge a yellow may not have been given and there'd be no controversy. But in this case because there was no attempt to play the ball whatsoever it can easily be considered wreckless.

That's the definition of intent isn't it?

All for that being a red. Intentionally played the man with his studs into the shin with no thought about playing the ball.

If you want a job in the PL then PSR limit is probably a fact of life wherever you go.

Salary cap is easy to do surely. You make it across the entire squad rather than on an individual. No-one is being paid £5m per week (or whatever you set it at). PFA might object but I don't see what is legally questionable about it.

I just don't get how a manager can come out and say "we're shit" and it not basically be a stackable offence. He's the manager. If they're shit then it's on him. If it's not him then what is it? The players? That's a great way to get them on your side. The board? Always a good idea to call your boss shit. Trying to undo the effects of the previous manager?
