I'm with @ponsaelius on all points tbh. St James' is a class traditional stadium and nothing else, no hotels or casinos attached, no gimmicks etc. You turn up to watch football and go daft for 90 minutes every other week and it's absolutely fine. We benefit hugely(as fans) from our location to the point it's almost an impossible sell to bring people in early doors as there is just no need to whatsoever. How the club change that outlook I honestly have no idea, do they need too? Yes I'd like a symmetrical stadium with class acoustics, and I'm still hopeful that can sort of be done in the current spot with some magic touches. I really don't want to leave the city centre for the sake of a gigantic megastore and a nandos built into the stadium mind. I'm sure if we got bigger and more fans got interested from around the globe that they could also buy into what makes Newcastle Newcastle really, and not be disappointed that their pint didn't fill from the bottom when in the concourses.

Don't worry I'll be enjoying it, but I barely want to listen to shearer talk about football nevermind narrate a docuseries. Just doesn't have a voice for it at all.

Just plumped for a 98/99 long sleeve with speed on the back. Been a while since I've bought a football shirt from DHG but always fancied one of these to see if it truly is the most clickable shirt in existence as I remembered as a youngin.

I've had to buy a CL package up front for the fear I'd miss out on tickets if we were to progress, which obviously in the past for cup games etc I'd pick and choose what I could make. Fear of missing out is a very real prospect after Wembley last season, an almost alien concept at nufc.

There's more than one way to skin a cat and no one way is correct, you just do you and make the most of your small insignificant time on this rock. But Adam P is chronic watching mind, but he's not alone in that!

I don't necessarily have a horse in this race as I have managed to cling to my ST with my fingertips, but surely that's not that fair? Not everyone works a 9-5 day job, can just whip a phone out in the middle of their day to wait in a queue? If I was in that scenario, I'd have next to no chance even though I do work a day job such is the nature of my work But I understand some members may feel their loyalty through the last season shouldn't just be disregarded for a pick from a hat scenario. Really hard thing to roll out at the best of times, but the club seemed to have fumbled in their correspondence prior to this. Good luck everyone!

Hopefully all active members of the trust have put forward their concerns to allow us a unified voice to go back to the club with. I know people think they're useless, but this is the exact kind of thing they can push the club on.

They are cheaper yeah. Like I've said elsewhere, I can make peace (begrudgingly) with that fact as I'd hope it's to help push the club on. Problem I'm finding is that its still a bit of a shitshow behind the scenes with very little clarity when you do get a response.

And I have to admit, because my ST was in the dirt I took their hand off on a CL "season ticket" because that's all I could seemingly get. Shoehorned me right into a corner and got me paying a fair whack for what, 3/4 games? Smart on their part and desperate from me. And there will be more people like me, who will likely over stretch themselves to see their team. We need to expand or rebuild if this level of demand persists like. And there is no reason to suggest it won't if we take them at their word, which we've done before to devastating effects.

Feel people's pain. Managed to get my own situation sorted out with ST but it was seriously stressful and the club were pretty difficult to deal with in all honesty. I was passed around pillar to post getting scripted bullshit answers, and even when they offered me some sort of ballot for every game, they had no further Information on what it entailed etc. The cost has went up across many ST areas now so can imagine the increases are filtering down to general/member sale tickets also. I want the club to be competitive I really do, and if this is a requirement then ok, I'll take my medicine. But they really need to be clearer on what exactly is happening and for what reasons otherwise people are rightly going to be confused/angry. This feels rushed and haphazard unfortunately and they really need to come out with firm answers and visions going forward.
