  1. It's amazing how many shit takes there are in this thread. Yeah it's not a fantastic process at the moment, but the sale going through when it did came as a shock to all. There isn't a structure in place like there is or would be at other clubs yet. "Been an absolute shit show since Amanda walked thru the door." - grow up for fuck sake, try a bit of critical thinking for once.
  2. If he really wanted to be here, the leak or pressure wouldn't put him off. He's my first choice of those discussed, but it's more important we bring someone in who is 100% set on being here.
  3. Edwards makes me laugh, we can all report things at face value. The difference between us and a journalist is supposed to be that they get the scoop. His bitterness towards Newcastle in his tweets, to the uninitiated, must make him look two steps behind everyone else, not just the one.
  4. Wouldn't go with Nuno right now. It's unlikely that he's been watching / analysing the team like the other prospective candidates will have.
  5. Let's go 4-4-fookin'-2, get papiss in for one game, and play him up top with big Cally Wuh
  6. Not sure why some people are getting so flustered at the moment. It must be some sort of learned trauma from the previous regime. Just look at where we're at. Ashley is gone, we have new owners that (appear) to care about the club and the area, and Bruce is gone. Chelsea is a free hit, and the new owners want to get the right people in. Say we go down this season? We will still have the richest owners in club football, we will still come back up - how many of us were saying we'd take league one with no ashley as long as we had ambitious owners? Okay, so maybe while we're out of the division the owners and directors test gets changed, do we really think that'll stick? Money talks. There was many of us clamouring to be taken over by just about anyone, Bin Zayed Group?! Just imagine how much of a shitshow that could've been. We need to relax a bit, regardless of what happens on the pitch it is now guaranteed to get better, we have hope. Waiting another week to get another manager in is nothing compared to over a decade of waiting for new ownership, and not only did we get new owners, we hit the jackpot. Let's chill out.
  7. This is what would happen if Bruce was "given a chance" to spend money under our new owners.
  8. Football fans of all clubs are largely the same. There are of course events and incidents that can influence elements of a fan base or those outside of it, i.e. Chelsea fans are racist, scousers are victims, geordies are delusional and punch horses. It's all nonsense. There are always smaller elements of a group or fanbase that unfortunately exaggerate the sensibility of those that comprise the majority. People aren't that different in their response and reaction to things going on around them. If you put one set of supporters in the situation of another group of supporters it wouldn't be much different after a period of time. I despise all this 'holier than thou' that is permeating amongst the fans of other clubs at the moment. It's funny really. Newcastle, not a big club apparently, yet we're such a small club that the world and his wife has an opinion on us. They need to start looking inwards a bit more and fuck off while they do it.
  9. Wonder what proportion of those outraged at the Bruce name calling are also sick of outrage culture and think everyone is too quick to be offended nowadays.
  10. Overseeing 7 wins in 37 without resignation at a club you supposedly love is antagonising enough. Then take into account things he has said to the press, backhanded remarks, digs at beloved managers etc

    England

Would be mint to get ward-prowse
  12. Who is Miles Jacobson and why is he crying?
  13. This commentary is full of PFM cliche rubbish. Fuming when I heard that as well, acting as if they'd uncovered something insightful.
  14. ITV hub is so wank. Still waiting for a corner to be kicked in the fourth minute.
  15. What a joke. Not even the sum of one top player. It should've been in the realms of 80m to 100m per club at least. In other words they forgo one or two marquee signings. They try to change the top level of football forever and it's cost them half a Joelinton. Spineless. Edit: Didn't realise this was 22m collectively. I'm lost for words. Even 22m each was paltry.
  16. Just realised the takeover is going through lads. History repeats itself.. City bought an underperforming Brazillian striker in Jo prior to their takeover, we've brought in BIG Joe = BIG takeover.
  17. Missed this - what happened?!
  18. If we held up sky coverage on a Sunday over Mike Ashley's ownership I don't think it would go down as well.
  19. Great idea for a thread. I'd post my thoughts but they've already been outlined by posts above. It's so frustrating as its incredibly easy for the owner to make the right decisions for the club and to get the fans on side.
