Why is everyone so obsessed with Burnley all of a sudden? Anyway, if you insist on comparing us with them, they finished 16th as a newly promoted side which is what we're on course to do ourselves right now.

That period after the Spurs game when everyone was convinced he was class will go down as one of the more weird moments in our history. -
Weird time to make this argument when our 2 strikers scored.
-
What a load of s*** man. Let me make it clearer, this applies to some fans, not our fanbase generally.
-
Is this happening? I heard one freak comparing him to Joe Kinnear at the match. Hoping it was a joke. Otherwise everyone was still chanting his name while we were losing. I'm sure there's idiots out there calling for his head because dipshits. But im sure it's an insane minority. It's a minority, but it shouldn't be happening at all. It's at it's worst on social media

Seeing Rafa get more criticism from our fans for being 16th with this side, than Pardew got for being 16th with an actual decent PL squad makes me want to vomit blood.
-
Pretty much a perfect set of results for us as it stands
-
0-2. That honeymoon period lasted a long time...

It's a load of crap mate. When Benitez oversees a massive decline in fortunes like those clowns did, maybe he will get criticised in a similar way. Rafa has probably frustrated us all several times these past couple of seasons, but he's doing everything he can do and more with the tools at his disposal.

I agree (which is why it was insane people were declaring him the next Baresi after 20 half decent minutes against spurs!) -
You can get as frustrated with Rafa as much as you like, we're still overachieving by not being bottom 4 or 5. There are not many worse squads than ours. Reluctant to blame Rafa too much for dodgy signings - Joselu is what 5m gets you in 2017.

Newcastle United 0-3 Watford - 25/11/2017 - post match gloom from p26

Crazy how much better than us Watford are. One of the many teams we were way ahead of not so long ago but are now better than us. -
A Birmingham win tomorrow and Sunderland are 7 adrift. Oops

Newcastle United vs. Watford - 25/11/17 @ 3pm

Sign of the times innit. They are sadly way more established at this level, have a better squad etc etc -
I know a couple of Coventry fans and they were both amazed he did so well with Wales (even though he didn't actually do that well overall if you think about it).
-
People were far too quick to say he was finished imo. 10 months of not performing so a very reasonable view. Ayoze has been poor for years and most haven't given up Aye. Plenty of players who show little flashes of talent or 'potential' get way more leeway off our fans than players who've actually shown they can contribute massively.

My thoughts too. He's getting an easy ride as he's new and exciting. but this lad worries me. -
Don't like the way some people blame him for every goal we concede (I suppose someone has to take that role while Dummett's out), but my God he's naff ain't he? Never feel confident with him on the pitch.
-
He's crap lads. Thought his over-inflated reputation could have got him a much better job though.
-
Switzerland could have won 8-0 on agg, but can't believe that penalty decision has ultimately cost them.
-
Crazy innit. The good news though is that they look physically incapable of winning. I thought when they were 2-1 up at home to Bolton they might actually do it.
-
That bright sunshine that shone out his arse is dimming dramatically. He's making poor decisions. He doesn't get everything right, but ffs we're midtable with easily one of the worst squads in the league. People need to realise how bad we are and how little Rafa has to work with (and how insanely lucky we are to have him)
-
This. Perez coming on instead of Mitrovic arguably cost us the game. Bit dramatic. Joselu's poor form seems to be making people forget that Mitrovic is actually crap and unreliable.
