  1. Reads the game very well, to the point you rarely have to see him off his feet diving into tackles because he's already there. Presses the opposition very well and doesn't just run around after the ball. And the tidiness you detest is a job which someone has to do to tick over the play from the back and he's good at it. You might want to forget about Colback but you just can't. A lot of the time Anita is actually looking to cover out for his shitness or lack of positional sense. Tiote isn't intelligent enough on the football pitch to look after Colback. Be very surprised if that doesn't become glaringly obvious in the upcoming games if those two are selected which they most likely will be. He's hopeless man. Been here ages and you can count on one hand the amount of good games he's had in that time. Total non entity of a player. Doesn't score goals, doesn't create goals, not a great tackler and more often than not you struggle to realise he's actually on the pitch which should never be the case for a player who plays in such a prominent position. We need a completely new central midfield and we need it quickly otherwise we are down. You're obvious not intelligent enough to appreciate him! Seriously though "total non entity of a player" sums him up. Sometimes when people say he's had a good game I'm totally baffled because he seems to be as ineffective in pretty much every game. That's just not true, he has had good games, more than a handful He needs upgrading BUT he is not a complete liability like Jack Colback If you think he is ineffective in pretty much every game then aye I would question your intelligence As has already been said, you could count on one hand the number of good games he's had. I think that's what the inflated opinion of Anita on here comes down to. Failure to appreciate Anita could be seen as approving of the dreaded Colback! In truth both are rubbish. Both have contributed the same amount to the team (very little). Only if you're a Mackem Good one! Care to list some of his good games?
  2. This bickering is pointless, he either joins Real or he doesn't. I suspect this will be like that time you all got excited when he was linked with Milan and he joined Nice instead...

  5. That's gonna be hard though, 2 of our 4 wins in the first half were basically flukes.
  6. We should be doing better, but when you look at how severely flawed our squad is, I'm not sure how much better we can realistically do without a genius for a manager. Certainly nowhere near good enough to get that top 8 finish.
  7. Our season will be decided in the January transfer window. If we carry on doing nothing to change the situation, its only luck (ie other teams losing a lot of games) that will save us.
  8. I'm no McClaren fan, but if you want to defend him, you could argue that none of the 'best' lineups we could name right now are any good.
  9. In form Krul is way better than in form Elliot. Sadly, Krul has only had a handful of good games since 2012.
  10. It's a really tough question. What is for sure, it wouldn't hurt as much as last time, and there's little point in us carrying on as we are in the PL is there?
  11. We'll lose narrowly and drones will start banging on about how "we've turned a corner" and "everything will be alright"
  12. Not sure how this is an actual opinion if we're actually judging players on how well they play (which seems to be surprisingly unfashionable these days).
  13. A young lad making the step up from Belgium to the PL should simply not be relied upon as much as Mitrovic has been. I don't like making excuses for the players, and he's had some bad misses, but this is what happens when you keep buying prospects instead of players who've been proven at the top level. Our club has underestimated the importance of top level experience for too long.
  14. After years of neglecting the side. The man's a genius, literally went 18 months without buying anyone, then when he does spend a bit, people are grateful. Also worth mentioning that we're still rubbish and have little squad depth even after our amazing transfer window.
  15. Have we finally accepted he plays well once every 3 months and we don't "need him"?
  16. 1. There are no good English managers 2. It's not just English managers who've had problems with Ben Arfa
  17. That's only true if the ground is full every week, which it isn't. Which is why I boycotted when I believed it was a United effort. You could say an extra person might turn up and show discontent from one week to the next... That doesn't make any sense heza, sorry. It doesn't make sense or you just choose not to understand it... It doesn't make any sense because we're talking about pumping money into the club. You boycotted a game and fair play but I assume you still paid for it, and this season you're still paying for it. I think I prefer the "can't whack the habit, need to bring my kids, etc" stuff to the idea of a one man protest making any difference tbh. It's not a one man protest if more join. Which is my whole point. If people like myself join those for a boycott then those who boycott shoudl join for sit-ins or other in ground protests. Even if it's for the sake of one or a few games. It's strength in numbers that matters and whether that be in the ground or out is almost irrelevant because most the cash comes from those outside the ground now anyways watching on Sky. No your going to the games and your putting money into his pocket whilst he takes the p*ss and he will continue to do so as long as the likes of you keep attending. Got nothing to do with peoples circumstances and reasoning if you attend your doing nothing to change anything as he doesn't give a f*** if you boo and call him s***; as he has your money whilst laughing his tits off. The boycott of one game is f*** all and the only way anything will happen is a mass boycott over a period of time but you keep making your excuses and keep putting money into his back pocket. Anyone who attends deserves everything they get and in my opoinion are two faced when complaining about things. Your right the 'sheep' will continue to attend mathes and you deserve everything you get by doing so. This is 100% right tbf
  18. I feel sorry for him, a young lad from the Belgian league should not be the man we rely on to score all our goals this soon into his time here.
  19. We were miles ahead of them a year ago, yet another indictment of the Ashley regime.
  20. He's rubbish and should never have got the job, but I have to say the players are crap as well. Nowhere near as good as we perhaps thought at the start of the season.
  21. Albania ahead of Northern Ireland for me. We should be able to get out of even the worst possible group really. No chance of any groups of death thanks to the new format.
  22. Great to see Germany in proper colours again. That kit with the red things and white shorts was rubbish. That Spain one's a bit USA 94 though.
  23. He won't get sacked, instead we'll bring in a few panic buys in January.
  24. Aye, but there is no evidence right now to suggest we're turning a corner any time soon. Well, I think we're performing better and we seem to be developing an understanding. We had about 5 chances to win the game today and dominated it almost throughout. Obviously it's concerning that we didn't manage it. I dunno, I'm still feeling cynical after failing to build on the positive signs from the opening games. Call me impatient, but I'm sick of looking for positives and excuses in our non-wins. 1 win from 11 is poor, and 0 goals from 2 games we 'dominated' is also very concerning.
