Obviously not going to happen, but if Brighton don't go up, we could do a lot worse than Chris Hughton...
-
I wouldn't wanna see this lad made a scapegoat, but him being a cult hero is probably one of the most annoying things about our fans. Some genuinely think he's a very good player.
-
Mitrovic hasn't relegated us, but the decision to let him play pretty much every game is one of several reasons the season has been a disaster.
-
9.9. It's probably best Sunderland make that a 10 in midweek to kill off any vague hopes.
-
None of them are good enough. Not liking X doesn't mean I like A, B and C but you deserve credit for not telling me that I must love Pardew and his 'grafter' cronies. At least Gouffran consistently made a contribution for a while though.

OK I concede we may have won more points with Ben Arfa if it will make you happy, then again we might not have . I still question how big an impact the Ben Arfa of the last few years pre-Nice would have had when we were struggling under Carver. Honestly surprised a post from over a year ago has affected you to this extent. Let's not let a thread about Marveaux turn into another dull Ben Arfa debate. I beg you.

Give me examples of those games then because I'm struggling to remember them. I hate Pardew as much as anyone, but I'm sick of the attitude that any player who fell out of favour during his tenure was some sort of misunderstood, hard done by genius. And if you're saying his form on loan in France isn't relevant, that's only because it doesn't suit your agenda. As for Ben Arfa, yes I said we would still have struggled last year if he was in the squad. Fair play to him for doing much better at Nice than I expected. Isn't this the sort of scenario that you should be learning from before asserting the same sort of opinions? It's quite hard to take someone seriously when they not only lack humility after being very wrong, but adamantly insist that they're right as if them being very wrong never happened. I think there's been enough Ben Arfa discussion on here but hey ho. How can I be wrong about a totally hypothetical situation, I gladly admit Ben Arfa has done much better in Ligue 1 than I expected. Maybe that does mean if he was in our squad last year, we wouldn't have been fighting relegation. Not really relevant to Marveaux though, if you think he played well for us and will be a loss, that's your opinion and we'll have to disagree.

It's why I can never stay mad at Cisse, no matter how many times he messes up.

Leicester fans won't give a monkeys how they win the league and I'm sure most of them won't want another week of uncertainty. I'm not even a Leicester fan and I'm nervous as hell watching Leicester and Spurs matches so I'm sure genuine fans will want it wrapped up ASAP and have a huge party/trophy presentation at home next week.

Arsenal fans have every right to moan though. They've been under performing for 10 years.

I'm sure you spent a fair bit of your time watching Ligue 1, so fair enough. Desperate stuff. If this supposedly creative and skilful player was creative and skilful, he would have achieved more than he did in a league that is vastly inferior to the Premier League. How much of Marveaux did you watch at Guingamp?
-
Lads, he was shite. He made little impact on loan in Ligue 1 when he was given a 'fair crack of the whip'. Sometimes players just aren't very good (and a couple of assists in 12/13 didn't convince me he was good).
-
It's pretty impossible to call. I HATE the uncertainty that comes with everyone having a game in hand on us. Still have to say 7, but I'd have taken that after the Southampton game.
-
Aye. If it hadn't have been Pardew it could have been any dreadful failure of a manager, he was a symptom not the cause of our problems. Souness was far more damaging. You sir are awarded a 1st Class Honours Degree in Mackematics. There was a reasonable sense of pride around the place before he took over. Just before he left there was nothing but darkness and despair. Souness took a Champions League standard team and set it back 10 years, maybe more. Pardew was a rubbish manager, but no more rubbish than Carver, McClaren or anyone else the club would have appointed at that time. I don't blame Pardew for all the ills of the club because I feel the last 5 years would have been the same regardless of which Championship standard manager we appointed. I obviously think he's an arse though.

9. 9.9 if Sunderland win tomorrow
-
still very unlikely, but maybe an 8.5 rather than 9 now.
-
I swear he's never had a good game, but he's one of those players that some fans like for some unknown reason.
-
They've still got to be pretty much perfect for the rest of the season to win the title, Leicester still big favourites. I do think it will be an interesting few weeks though.
-
The problem is, we have to win at least one of the games next week. We haven't beaten City in over 10 years and haven't won at Anfield in over 20 years. We could afford to drop points if we didn't mess up the Sunderland/Norwich games.
-
Could see Spurs winning the title if they win tomorrow night.
-
Maybe now 8.5 instead of 9. Still think taking only 1 point off Sunderland and Norwich will cost us. We have to win our two easy games and pull of at least one shock. Hopefully Man City and Liverpool will have an eye on Europe and Spurs will have nothing to play for on final day.
