No support behind ASM, we could do with Targett on at some point. -

They've got their smallest player marking wood on corners, but, we can't find him to head the ball. -

This ref is already 100% better than last weeks excuse. -
You'd think sides like Watford and Burnley would be looking for some PL experience, I could see someone like Ritchie or Fernandes doing a great job for them.
-
In all this madness that's been going on, I've been really surprised we haven't really shifted more of our players out. I thought Ritchie would be off, possibly Murphy, and maybe Fernandes, Manq, also Shortsaff, Instead Dubz before that lot ?

Mitro is looking class now, was still a tad raw when with us, and the fact Rafa didn't like him didn't help. But, what a forward he's become.

We were crazy at times. I remember Keegan desperately trying to break our transfer record over and over, he wanted Giuseppe Signori to be like the new Beardsley, I think Hall finally said no! And well.... we know the rest. Loved the 90s

Absolutely, that's the strangest part. I believe eventually though most elite clubs if not all, the money will be coming from channels that are out of supporters control, and principles. In fact nearly all sports I'd guess. Yourself and myself, our fellow supporters we didn't get involved or choose the way things are, we just stayed loyal to our passion. Nobody's to blame, were addicted to Nufc, we have to be, we're still here after Mike Ashley.

Keegan and John Hall times were quite like this, we were always being linked to this player or that player. It was brilliant, I can only remember sulking for about a month when Keegan sold Cole, I think it hurt more because it was to Man Utd, I was livid. Then, when we signed Les Ferdinand, he ended being just as great and all was forgotten. It was us that set all the British transfer records, Cole to Utd was a record, then Shearer to us also a record. Then not long after, transfers just went mental. But it feels like it's going full circle, I never, ever, thought I'd be able to relive my football youth , I thought it was over, I get to feel it all again, only this time probably see a trophy, and my daughter enjoy it also. Funny how things eventually work out. ?

I think Howe might play Isak as the RW, and ASM LW once Wilson is fit. But can lean on Isak and Wood as cover for Wilson now, it's good if players can be diverse when things get tricky.

Would be mental to allow this to happen.

Any confirmation yet? Plenty on Twitter claiming five year deal completed.

Assume he could be off to Everton then now?
-
Wow, I'm stunned by this. I'm so glad we do things with a few smoke and mirrors. Seems semi obvious the media are being led all over with various links, while things are progressing without their full knowhow. This cant be a deal that was set up overnight, congrats to Dan Ashworth, were about to bring in one of Europe's biggest talents. ???
-
He's just never progressed in any role.

Sick note strikes again
-
Not the way we play though. I was getting at, from now onwards, of course most strikers have found double figures once or twice in their careers, but utter shite if they hadn't
-
I don't believe Wood has 10 goals in him? I'd love to be proven wrong.
-
@thomas I guess people who managed to have conversation with Howe, have managed to uncover that we are active in the market, but he wasn't giving anything away, claiming Pedro was not accurate, and that decisions are going on in the background that he's not involved in. You have to take what you can from that. I'd assume we will still be looking to bring one or two in still ??
-
Come on, most were saying since last season a striker is necessary. I'm not bothered if we do nothing, but it won't help us. If we lose him for a few periods over the season or for most of it, then I genuinely dont think Wood will offer much at all. Just my opinion, dont get me wrong though, if it was a minor injury and he misses 4 games and we look again in January, I could live with that, but if he doesn't make enough appearances due to injury, I feel we need more. Call it overreaching, but his history particular with us, has shown he gets injured a fair bit.
