No one on here has (I hope), but there's a handful of relentless mongs out there on social media. State of them. Ah right. Thought some of os were being labelled just for quizzing the transfer business. No bother. The guy on twitter is just being a typical child. -

Nobodys turned on Rafa. No need to start little alliances up. -

Joselu will be on £40k and Murphy on half that imo. £60k would get you somewhere close to a decent striker, especially if we sold Gayle or Mitro on the back of it. Rafa didn't get to choose which of his targets to get, it's really not that hard to grasp that he didn't have that choice. So he doesn’t have control over transfers? He literally said time and and time again, all summer long that they had targets and the club was tasked with delivering them. He then said Ashley didnt keep his word over what they had agreed. How could he have made it any clearer? I think we got caught out on Abraham. I know Rafa was double crossed, but fucking hell have something else ready in the pipe line. We paniced with Joselu. << theres no way he was our next best option. That's a fair comment. But then again, if your first choice is literally a free transfer (albeit with a sizeable loan fee) and you've already done all the groundwork behind the scenes to get him here why would you possibly believe it wouldn't be done? We'll never know if we'd be any better off but we're not on about missing out on a top class striker here, and it's the same with the goalkeeper he wanted. Just good, solid upgrades on what we had with a view to staying up and building from there. And they still fucked it up. Absolutely ridiculous. Given the fact he went down a division from a top club and scored over 20 goals the interest would have been widespread. He had the choice. I believe it was Rafa who went there to convince him, but you just dont know how many of his parent clubs colleagues would have been texting him against coming here, there were many senior players at chelsea who had it in for Rafa. Rafas biggest mistake was having any trust in Charnley and all the yes men who pretend to get stuff done behind the scenes ultimately he doesn't sign players outright or Tammy Abraham would have been here this season. He talks of a good relationship with Charnley on occasions. Just seems they let him down with little back up options. Basically we shouldn't have laid all our eggs in one basket with Tammy. -

You could have saved 5m on Joselu and kept Murphy, who was probably better. We flogged plenty of players, have plenty on loan and released and had many leave for free, surley we made a few quid. Was the cash from promotion not that much? How the fuck is a club with gates 2 times plus, not generating enough to compete with Brighton and Huddersfield. -

It does get a tad repetitive people claiming any inside info on goings on, and repeat of this it takes time to dot the I cross the T's, etc etc. -

Im not confident with our selection. Continuing to select Joselu, Manquillo, we have Mbemba who is better and sure Mitro is a nob head at times but he is possibly the biggest threat for this league. I hope Rafa can see past his regimental style and drop some of the weak links and invite the better lads back of the naughty step. -
And that is a key reason why Enrique was our best LB so most of us think. The reason was Jonas did so much work for him and with him and vice versa. The pairs understanding was why it worked, then Enrique left and Jonas game deteriorated. Fullbacks and wide men should have a sound understanding, just like strike partners or midfield pairs. Defensive pairs etc. With those two it just worked down that left side.
-
Absolutely terrible footballer. Its not an excuse for Rafa to play him again and if he does he's mental. I would sooner see a young academy player out there or just bloody put Mbemba back in. Weird how Rafa treats Mbemba

Its almost like people still believe its unacceptable for Watford to be better than us, its not difficult. We probably have around about the 4th or 5th shittest squad in this league. Watford,Burnley etc, they improved on us when we invested in shite players and they bought carefully,(plus all these sides received the big money when we slipped out of the leage, leaving us miles behind) and now Watford added a manager who is of the pochetino style mould, its no wonder Everton tried to land him.

Wow, a royal bumming. I did think we would get sussed out in this league quick. -
Not expecting much given our injuries and key missing players Merino,Lascelles. They look a whole different side since we last played them.

Fucking hell Perdew In a world of shit odds, I could see Ashley U turning on the sale of the club, Rafa walking and Tony Pulis here being the perfect candidate to work with no investment and steer us away from relegation each season. -

Naa i was going off on one erlier. But was commented down as overreacting. Its rumours of itk so until theres enough evidence i cant be arsed. The relegation and champs leage clauses are laughable. He wont negotiate a deal involving him being out of pocket at any given time. -

They currently would have some say in where it ends up though, so it is cheeky to basically try to cover for that by paying less if it doesn't go well. Probably just a negotiating tactic anyway. Again with another house analogy, you cannot agree to pay £170k on the basis that the house only stays or goes up in value but pay £150k if it turns out the market crashes in your area or they build a bunch of flats next door in a years time. Especially if you're someone who makes decisions which determine whether they end up building flats next door in a years time. You go into it accepting risk & do your analysis of the situation upfront. Then you pay what you deem it to be worth. PCP are thinking, even if it's done before Jan, and they have that window to bring in players, one window isn't necessarily enough to halt a relegation slide. The lack of investment in the playing squad is an issue which goes back years, and is on Ashley's back in my opinion. It's reasonable for them to want to protect themselves from that at least in the short term, for the remainder of this season for example, anything after that would then be their own doing. Yeah i see that as fair to a point. If they would currently value the club at less than they're offering based on the risks involved, but are willing to pay more with security that it stays up I think that makes a level of sense. Otherwise they cant get close to his supposed valuation. He may see it as them trying to cover for getting it wrong though. Knowing Ashley he'll want to reverse it and have them paying him X if the club goes on to do well based on what he's put in place recently. Thats understandable. But im sure they will need to get closer to his alleged 380m. -

Seen that also. Even City cant achieve that target. So im guessing thats bullshit. If it is in there its more of a laugh than the relegation one. -

It quite easily is as a general point really. Your last point about income not being cut with a house can easily be brought into the same analogies. Most of us average poor people own a house as our most valuable asset. So its all i can compare it with. And i wouldnt want to have someone make me offers where i owe them after a sale. Id just move on to another buyer or take it off the market. It all depends how desperate Ashley is to get out. Or risk losing his precious pennies. -

It's nothing like buying house. If you need a new roof your income doesn't suddenly get cut significantly. They know what they are buying. You cant start negotiating a new boiler 6 months after a purchase, or saying i can only buy this property on the grounds that boiler stays in tip top shape for the remainder of the year. Wtf you have me comparing us to a boiler now to make a point. Point is a relegation clause for a club isnt going to work or happen imo. No one is saying it is or isn't, in fact most of us see it as a political move as part of her bid in which she's willing to drop to get a better deal for herself. You are the one dismissing her credibility because of this one aspect. No im not as such. More so im just thinking its something most of us wouldnt go for if we were in a position like Ashley. Can anyone guarantee we wouldnt get relegated at this moment? I just cant see Ashley going for it, he protects every penny. Im only banging on a bit because its gone from potentially funding Rafa in January to now talk of relegation clauses. I thought it might have been the other way round, they may not complete the deal to fund Rafa and ask Ashley to fund him, and then he would say if you still go down you (pcp) owe him. All hypothetical ^^^ -

If we're relegated because of dodgy tax dealings, she'd obviously have a few complaints about that. Sky are reporting it nothing to do with hmrc and dodgy stuff. About Rafa and the playing squad needing to reach targets. She better get her hands in her mates pockets then. Bacause the poor bastard needs about 5 players in January to guarantee no relegation. Factor in losing Key players to injury and suspension, our cover isnt the best. Yeah, sky have all of the details. They're speculating as much as we are man! Weather they are or not, if true a relegation clause on a club not a player is a bit of a stretch to far. I wouldnt go for a deal like that. You just dont know its a stab in the dark. Original reports made all this sound like they were purchasing something they want to improve and turn around and challenge. No we hear about relegation clauses. Bit of a fucking joke. -
