Andrey Santos, rumours. Chelsea to cancel loan with forest due to lack of minutes, apparently we wanted him back before he signed with Chelsea.

The lad that Chelsea said was going to be the next big thing since John Terry and Frank Lampard. Josh McEachran was a skinny little kid, thrown in to their top PL side, looked about 12 looked him up, he's 30 now, and in league 1 with the MK Don's, Wow! Yaya Sanogo, I was convinced this kid would be world class, this all based on FM11 and no idea at all, he did move to Arsenal alongside fellow prospect Wellington Silva, another FM prodigy, Yaya was being likened to George Weah, slim, skilled, and a lethal finisher, at the time one of the Barbers I used to visit, big Gunners fan, he even claimed it was a masterstroke from Wenger again, they'd gotten another Nicolas Anelka in the making, turns out he's 30yrs now, didn't score a goal in 3 seasons, but, his youth international career for France was extremely impressive.

Has Fredy Adu been mentioned? Cobi Jones, I think this guy played in the USA 94 World Cup, he was rapid, went on to sign for Coventry City, but never did much. Ibrahim Ba, One of the guys who stood out, had the bleached white afro, again lightning quick, got his big move to Milan, and France national call ups, but never really progressed. Kierrison, His numbers at his team in Brazil were so good he got his move to Barcelona, but that seemed to be the move that killed him. I think even we were interested at one time, but he was shipped out on loan to Benfica, then loaned here there and everywhere. Ravel Morrison, Everyone said he was the best player in the group they had at the time, a youth set up that included Pogba. Not sure if I'm stating the obvious now, The first two though were personal ones, I watched and thought they look like they could be stars.

The Ruben Neves noise seems to have simmered.

You think wrong then. We all have hope and expectations, and before a season even begins that's all done in hindsight. Reality is, factual evidence has now derailed our season, and peoples expectations change, they either understand the circumstances and look at it and accept its going to be a much more challenging expectation, probability or likelihood. You then factor in, Aston Villa, Spurs, and Liverpool who have pushed our numbers down by having very good seasons, then don't disregard both Brighton and West Ham along with ourselves and Man Utd. Realistically, I think given our misfortunes at times this season we could still fight for around 7th I won't be disheartened if we finish from 8th to 10th though. You're sort of right in a way though, if they surveyed 100 fans after the first home game of the season, asking where they felt we might finish, 90 out of that lot would have said hopefully in the European spots, the odd few saying hang on we're only one game into the season, but if you are saying that from now, then I'm standing by what I said at the top. ??

As if the owners would remove Eddie at this stage, I don't think for one minute Staveley would even be thinking it, I'm sure there's probably dialogue between the manager and the hierarchy, they'll be in total support, unless it was a total mess and we were involved in relegation then they could get itchy feet. Amanda comes over as a very kind and loving person, she's definitely invested in Howe and will likely back him and support him where needed. They're not daft, they're fully aware we over acheived last season, also obviously aware we lost two key new signings nearly all season, have a shit load of injuries, and have had our hands tied with FFP.

Not something I've noticed before, buy blatantly tugging over everything Liverpool did tonight.

Fuck off Gordon

The conditions are a factor in how bad we've been at the back, but with that excuse aside, there's been some really awful organising, last season we were one if not the best and tightest in the entire league, groans when Dan Burn was ignored for international call ups. The other thing I've noticed is the constant need to keep swapping players, there's never a settled 11, although the injuries are obviously forcing this at times, we definitely stuck with a more consistent 11 last season, maybe that's something we need to return to?

I was leaning towards how opponents had to react to him being in our side, the doubling sometimes treble marking on him, I genuinely think his presence on the left was what unlocked Miggy and the goals he managed last season, Miggy had so little pressure on the right because sides were worried about what kind of threat Saint-Maximin may bring.
-
Would you say not having a player like Saint-Maximin anymore is a factor?

It seems just a matter of time for these to score, we look panicked, and all at sea when they go forward. Staying in the game by luck really.

Liverpool vs. Newcastle United: 1/1/24 @ 20:00 (Sky Sports)

Feel like it'll be a massive challenge, one that might bring a fuck ton of overreaction, once again. I'm not arsed personally, I don't actually give a crap what happens, I'll start taking things more seriously after the Villa game. -
Cole Palmer looked like Matt Le Tissier today, never payed too much attention to the lad, his performance against Luton was really impressive.
-
Christ don't say things like this
-
He really isn't, and if we did sign him you'll find out.

The idea of Kalvin Phillips worries me a little, although a good player strong passer etc, he's not very mobile in the slightest, with Longstaff and Bruno you have a slow midfield. We need a fast midfield, Joelinton and Willock would provide that when both fit with Bruno, plus Phillips is hardly going to have spent the season sat on the bench with City and then come here and sit on our bench, so if he comes in and keeps Willock out of the side, and halts Mileys progress im not up for that
-
Yes he's top class, him and Guehi should both be considered.
-
It did feel like they were leading questions, I mean, I did moan myself about Dan Burn and Dubravka today, but then I remember the shite we've been handed this season. You're right, they'll say all that shit, then ask for Trippiers autograph if they see him driving outa the car park. Miggy getting absolute pelters, he wasn't amazing today, nobody was, but let's sell him in January?

Can't get my head round some of this, these are actual fans that go to the games, in fairness I don't think the result was great, some of the individual performances of some were really poor, but, our circumstances this season have been ridiculous at times, it's been such a challenge for the players and Eddie Howe. The carry on at times though is unreal, I don't think we were ever getting champions league again this season, most realistic thinkers must have known this, Europa League? Possibly, then we had an injury conundrum, key summer signings disappearing for the season, followed by game, after game, after game, players returning only to get injured again, the side being constantly switched and unsettled. The whole thing has been a nightmare, I think it's been so tough on Howe this season, he still has us in a respectable position in the league, yes we've had some really poor results and performances of late, but let's not get silly, he's absolutely not to blame here, he only said in his post match that we can actually train again, it's not ideal the situation, but I guess he's been trying to avoid further injuries to the squad. The next four fixtures are horrendous given our current form, but we've got to get behind Eddie and these lads, surely!

According to Stuart Pearce on talksport.

Tucked in and opened up the space for Elanga to be thread through by Gibbs-White, it was made easy by Burns position. On the Wood goal, he's caught watching way before Wood does him in the box, it was further up the feild, he'd already been done.
-
I have no faith in this guy. Must be his last season with us.
-
Thought he was dreadful on two goals. And looks slow and unfit.

Awaiting a ton of bullshit to drop in here very soon.
