Are we actually going to sign anyone? Or install a backroom staff?
-
Usually the selling club agrees for the buying club to agree terms with the player whilst discussions are ongoing between the two clubs. This mainly happens in situations like this, where QPR are pretty resigned to losing him.
-
Isn't he from The Lord of The Rings?

Sissoko can't be a holding midfielder Updated it, didn't mean to have Sissoko where he was. The idea was Sissoko to be a forward thinking guy and Colback to play the sit in the middle pinging the ball around and breaking up play.

100% agree.

Has a year left on his contract...of course! £6m - £10m then I'd guesstimate. Can see us failing to get this one over the line.

That's pretty much the ideal but I'd even take that list minus a LB and one of the CBs being a Lascelles type this summer if it meant we properly invested in the other areas you mention. I'd say that we need two wingers bringing in, rather than two strikers. I also quite like Haidara and think he'll be cracking in a forward moving team so wouldn't necessarily go in for a LB (a backup RB would be needed) The way I'd play is below... I think Krul is going to go this summer, but Darlow could step straight in (the limited times I've seen him, he's looked fairly decent). ---------------------Krul---------------------- --Jaanmat---New CB--New CB---Haidara--- -------------------Colback---------------------- -New Winger-----Sissoko--------Cabella---- -------------------de Jong--------------------- ----------------New CF/Cisse------------------ Subs: Darlow, Dummett, New RB, Saylor (until his injury in January 2016)/Lascelles, Abeid, Aarons, Perez Perez to come in for any of the front 4 whenever injury/suspension takes them. Elliot, Colo, Williamson, Tiote to leave. I wouldn't get rid of anyone else; players like Riviere, Anita, Obertan, Gouf etc. can all be promoted to the bench when we have our normal injury crisis. This season lessons should be learnt that we need players like the above to move onto the bench when injuries hit, as we could barely fill our bench this year. Never ever ever going to happen, but it'd be nice.

Would be a good start if we get him in. No idea on the expected cost mind, how long is his deal at QPR? Being there I'd expect him to be on a decent wedge too.

On a side note he has such a jolly face, similar to Papiss' smile - you just cant help like it. We might be fucking dogshit, but we've got some cracking grins in our squad.

Moncur Out. Already spraying my bedsheets in anticipation for a hate-fest.

The next few bodies through the door (staff and players) will determine how I feel on this one.

New Board of Directors - Charnley, McClaren, Carr & Moncur

Don't know what to make of this at all... With the fact Carr and McClaren are friends, it makes me wonder if this is another "job for the boys" appointment. Ashley is fond of Carr, Carr and McClaren are friends... Charnley is Ashley's yes man and Moncur has spent the previous months cuddling all of them. Then add into the mix McClaren is being in all his favoured staff. It reminds me of a local nightclub, where the bloke who bought it employed all of his mates as promoters, bar staff, doormen etc. It closed down after 5 months. -
Yohan Cabaye (now sporting coordinator at Paris Saint-Germain)

http://sportwitness.ning.com/forum/topics/abramovich-not-amused-with-mourinho-as-chelsea-lose-out-to-man-ci Yohan Cabaye to Crystal Palace? An eyebrow raising one but also one which doesn't seem completely impossible according to the player himself. Cabaye moved from Newcastle United to PSG partly to help up his French profile ahead of the World Cup and get in the squad. Cabaye thought his performances for Newcastle United were being overlooked by France and decided he needed a clean break to help boost his chances, of course the much higher wages on offer helped swing his decision too. Cabaye had excelled at Newcastle United and the club have surely missed his presence since but he had such a good time with Alan Pardew that he's spoken positively when quizzed on the rumours. Quoted by Le Parisien newspaper, the former Newcastle United player said "It went very well with him. I enjoyed it with him and he does a great job. The most important thing is to find fun. If I have to make that decision, it will be a pleasure to see my old coach." Cabaye speaking positively about a move to Crystal Palace and name dropping Pardew as the reason will be music to the ears of the former Newcastle United manager. It'll be exciting for Crystal Palace too but perhaps a little concerning for whoever is in charge of the London club's budget this summer. -

I think it originated from this: http://metro.co.uk/2015/06/06/crystal-palace-line-up-double-transfer-swoop-for-loic-remy-and-yohan-cabaye-5233441/ Players in being linked to an old manager to sell papers shocker. I would be amazed if either Remy or Cabaye went to Palace. Amazed. Didn't realise Cabaye is 29 - thought he was younger for some reason. -

Damn those feminists, trying to bring about equality. Don't they don't that women simply can't play football? I view it in the same way as netball but the opposite way round... women are lovely at it and men aren't. Let them play, but stop trying to throw it all over the media.

Fixed it for you. -
If only. I really don't understand why we don't even contact the bloke, just ask the question - would you fancy it? If he says no, what have we lost? The only stumbling block I could see is his wage demands would probably be triple of McClaren's. Plus the fact that we try to operate in the opposite direction usually.
-
Really does make me smile when the media/feminists try ram women's football down our throats, equal opportunities, just as good etc. Then when I turn on the matches, it resembles a school match where all the players just run towards the ball and aimlessly kick at it. You'll have one or two moments of decent skill that look far better then they actually are. It's cute how they try to have a go, but I wish they wouldn't... Similar to NUFC.

I've probably got this wrong, but hasn't wor Dutchie turned us down 3 times? Once after Pardew left, another with 3 games to go and the last time just before being dismissed by Derby? Regardless of how many times, it's indicative of our desperation that a manager can turn us down more than once in such a short timeframe and still be essentially the only consideration for the job. Like others have said though, he's our best appointment for a few years and I'm happy to back him for now, am getting sick and tired of constantly feeling negative towards the club we all love - plus he seems like a nice bloke who'll walk away if he can't hack it. Some of his teams have played decent, expansive stuff over the years and I'm hoping he adopts a similar approach here. I would feel a lot more comfortable if Carver, Stone and co were ditched though. Absolutely spot on. With regards to turning us down, I presume he did turn us down with 3 games to go as he wouldn't risk leaving Derby for the risk of being relegated with us. Can anybody blame him for that if this is the case? I certainly can't. Would you quit your job to join a company who may go bankrupt in three weeks? I presume that Derby's pay-out to him will cease if he takes on another role in x amount of time, as is reported to be normal practice. I'm willing to give him the chance, as I would with any other manager - let him do the talking with his team selection/style of play.

Can't wait for this to result in only season ticket holders with 100+ loyalty points or three arms being able to buy away tickets. Unless you pay £200 per year and upgrade to the new membership scheme.

Excellent. I just like this bloke more and more every day.
