Newcastle United lose Judicial Review against HMRC
Figures 1-0 Football replied to ChrisMcQuillan's topic in Football
#NUFC have lost a High Court challenge over the seizure of documents by tax officials investigating the financial affairs of several clubs. -
Would rather take any risks associated with being taken over than be stuck with Ashley.

Think I mis-read your (or someone else’s) post like. The Diame reference was pointing out that we were a decent whack away from winning 2-1, regardless of how many decent chances, shots on or off target, possession etc that they have. Basically alluding to the fact that you get what you deserve and if you’re not clinical, you dont deserve to (and wont) win games.
-
Wonder who the other two clubs are, who else is available?
-
Do you ‘deserve to win’ by having 30 shots and the game finishing 0-0? You don’t really deserve to win a game if you cant hit the ball in the net. Surely you deserve the result that you get unless it is influenced by poor officiating. They ‘should have won’ with their stats, aye. But we ‘should have scored’ at the end with Diame.

Caulkin now ruling out Dalglish and Wraith as the person who invited her on Sunday. He also says that he knows the person who invited her. R A F A

Source? I can't see anything to that effect on his Twitter.

And people say it was an overreaction that people are ridiculously harsh of Elliot Blaming him because Lascelles couldn’t clear a simple ball ffs. What about Clark, could he have shouted? Ritchie? Yedlin? What were they all doing? Nope - it’s all Elliots fault. And aye, every keeper should be positioned perfectly to save a fantastic strike that was hit with such power. Nobody ever gets beat by a strike like that.

“I was just joking when I said I’d sell Newcastle for £380m, it was just a bit of banter down the pub”

I must be in the minority that thought the drum was quite good. It wasn’t a typical drum that you get at places like Wigan, but was a more ‘stylish drum’ that got whacked in time with the songs already created, rather than doing it to create songs. Plus whoever had it was clearly a decent drummer, which helps.

From the Chronicle. Bit in bold is interesting. There is more but that is the main part, couldnt be arsed to copy the rest.

He is undoubtedly a mackem pretending to be a mag. So very sad.

Javier Manquillo (now playing for Celta de Vigo)
Figures 1-0 Football replied to Parsley's topic in Football
He’s an okay backup option and that is all he ever should be. Did well yesterday, it was one of his better games but I’d feel more secure with Mbemba there. Rafa obviously got it spot on though, as it worked. -
Good form (for us) is massively stretching it and you can't just ignore his daft red card like. Mitrovic might end up being a player and that's what people are banking on, but trying to justify it with his form for us is folly, like. He's done nothing with us for anyone to say he's shown more than Joselu with any single attribute. He didn’t get a red card, like. If you cant see he was playing well and scoring goals from pre-season till his suspension, then there is no point trying to have this discussion. He’s been the best, out of all of our strikers, so far this season - which is why people want him to start. His ban, sorry. He's been the best out of all of our strikers so far this season? What? He's played 18 minutes for us in a match where he scored in a game that was already won and then he got himself banned for 3 games. It's nothing to go on. Did you watch us at all in pre-season? Or the cup game, that again, he scored in. His performances have been better than Joselu’s, he also has as many goals as he does, having played about 350 minutes less.
-
Scored one like that against Norwich too. Run down the middle, ball from Gini and he smashed it into the back of the net.

Maybe the fact that Mitro was/is in good scoring form, from pre-season to suspension. Joselu hasn’t shown anything since he signed that Mitro cant do equally as well or better, imo. That said, I’d probably be starting Gayle anyway, but there is clearly an unknown issue there.

As they have children together, she quite literally is.

He’s just not a top player. He’s good, but he’s not a player you’d have if you want to seriously challenge for the league. Liverpool are littered with players like that though, which is why they have results like they did yesterday.

Think this sums it up for me too.

Ayozé Pérez (now playing for Villarreal)
Figures 1-0 Football replied to ponsaelius's topic in Football
He might be the best player at running, closing down etc. but you cant afford to have a #10 that contributes nothing to your attacking play. In the 7 games he’s played this season, he hasn’t looked like scoring and has barely had a chance or even been in the right position to have a chance. As someone rightly said, the only time he ever looks dangerous is when he intercepts the ball from an opponent in the final third, even then he doesn’t really do anything with it. But, we don’t really have anyone else, so he’ll stay in the team.
