  1. Still the position i'd like to improve first (if we keep Slimani). That being said I think he's quite effective. He's not glamerous and won't split teams apart, but he has a nack of popping up in the right areas. Loves a late run into the box and/or a glancing finish. Will be a very useful player to have in the squad.
  2. Thanks for the last quote in your sig as i missed that first time around. In histerics
  3. Rondon for 8m is a steal - add Rafa's coaching - would score goals Quite skeptical of him, but we need two strikers in the summer and if he was available for 8m i'd take him as a number 2. Worse goal per minutes than Mitro and tons older. Comparisons with Mitro are irrelevent as rafa will sell him in the summer. If there were better options available then awesome but we need someone who would be happy to sign and be on the bench for a majority of the season. Means either someone young (and probably expensive), or someone like Rondon. If the 8million thing was true, then its only a couple less than Joselu, but he has a much better pedigree. Strikers are expensive, we need 2 and i don't fancy blowing a large portion of our budget on someone who will sit on the bench, so he could be a good option, if he's cheap. the best thing to do would be sign a number 10/ winger who can also play up front if Slimani (or whoever) is injured, but those players are generally really expensive.

  5. Surely this means we can be mathematically safe quite soon? Well they're 5 points ahead of Southampton and this would only give us an extra 3 'mathematical' points so at the moment I don't think it matters
  6. Could have safety confirmed next weekend
  7. Ah up! Top o’ the mornin’ t’ ye Kai. Eee by gum. Eee by gum?
  8. Ronaldinho special there. Probably learnt that off him as he's the only other player I've seen do that. ah piss off
  9. goal is here https://www.themag.co.uk/2018/04/newcastle-united-loan-star-sean-longstaff-smashes-25-yard-special-watch-blackpool/ just been looking through a few of his other goals he doesn't score tapins like.

  11. Around 26,000 posts ago. Riposte. Not really. The joke's on me if my near ten years of regular posting is less memorable than the decade old thread that started it. that was 10 years ago? That can't have been 10 years ago. Maybe 4 years ago.
  12. You'd imagine loads of clubs would be all over that The only thing madder than someone offering 38 million for Rondon is someone turning down 38 million for Rondon. Can't be true.
  13. He's the one I would take. Would take Evans as well as a replacement for Mbemba if he could find a satisfactory explanation for the taxi fiasco, otherwise no. For a captain to get involved in something like that is pretty disgraceful. Would consider on Shaqiri or Choupu Moting if they were cheap. Same with Redmond or Bertrand, but I'd want them signed as squad players. Again slight questionmarks of the attitude of someone like Shaqiri. Tadic is the only Stoke or Southampton player I'd be very happy we signed.

The Leeds game, which is their next match, is just the type of game they have on the rare occasion gotten a result from all season, away to a fairly biggish name, they've beaten Norwich and Derby, got a draw at Wolves, beaten Fulham (at home). It's the crap around them who they've really struggled against most. Seems too much of a gap now for them, but difficult to discount them completely because of their previous, Reading seem to be in free fall and Bolton may have leveled out, they are more than likely to finished ahead of both Burton and Barnsley, catching one of Reading or Bolton might not be impossible but it's going to have to be a hell of a turnaround in form. There's no way this sunderland team is picking up 8 more points. They were relegated when Birmingham beat Bolton, we've got more chance of going down than they have staying up.
  15. Or even a little less given he was being bought by Spurs and doesn't have anything near Llorente's experience/performance in top divisions. Couple of years younger though. The issue is how much leicester payed for him
  16. Me too to be honest. Neither have been here for ages, their fans deserve another year at least. Don't mind Wagner to be honest and also Hughton Stoke need to go, they've been a placeholder for years. Southampton I would like for thinking they are too good to go down (genuniely saw someone on their board say they should be happier with teams like Bournemouth and Watford dropping points against the bottom 6 because they could still finish 10th, the day before they lost to us 3-0. If you haven't worked it out by then you deserve to go down). West Ham just for lols (and potential to do better next season) would be good but it won't happen.
  17. The one worry I have is that the only should win game we have left is West Brom. That said i'd be very surprised if the team gets six defeats from the other games the way they are playing at the moment.
  18. If he costs what we sell Mitrovic for I'll be happy.
  19. To be honest I think they'll be safe. Southampton are so poor I genuinely think one win from any team on 31 or over should be enough.
  20. Seen his goal? Unreal the way he strikes it
  21. We'll need to find a more attacking left back at some point but I don't think that will be next season. Too many other issues with our team.
  22. I have City BTTS on an accumulator. Any chance of that happening or should I cash out? watching the real game
