  1. Amazing performance by everyone bar none today. Shelvey, Dubrovka and Lascelles were amazing. If Slimani can score there's no way this team is getting relegated.
  2. No need, really haha but its like totally ok to like, wish someone dies on a public message board #lolzilla
  3. Could make it very difficult for them to shift him. Who would even pay half that for someone with his record?
  4. Straight to the point, nice one. Hope you're not fibbing. Is everything ok at home Bluf?
  5. Well personally, I'm not prepared to take any chances with this. Neither I. I'm a soldier for the cause.
  6. I can’t grasp why people can’t see this. It would be massively detrimental for our survival bid getting rid of him at this point. Really infuriating. Sell our best midfielder in a crazy transfer market with a lethagic board who may even decide they can't slash won't replace him. f***ing fantastic idea. Without his assists we wouldn't have been promoted, and this season we'd be bottom. He's done it better and more consistently than Atsu over his newcastle career, and as you mention his work off the ball is one of the reasons I feel we'll drag ourselves through this season. Murphy has played well for like one game. I like him and he's got potential but every time something like this happens half the forum get's on the hype train and we suddenly don't need Ritchie any more. Cue a few games later when he hits a bad spell and he's s**** and needs replacing again. Its just as well Murphy has finally remembered how to kick a football as Ritchie has been running himself into the ground for the past half a season, and not having anyone to replace him in the team has no doubt been part of the reason why he's on an off patch now. That sort of goes for Gayle as well if he could sort his confidence issues out we'd be in a lot better shape.
  7. shite results for us but ah well. We still just need to beat the teams around us like we have been doing and we'll be fine.
  8. Without Ritchie we would be bottom without a shadow of a doubt. His assists have won us probably about 9-10 points this season, he works harder than anyone else in the team.
  9. Rafa needs to take some responsibility for this. Fair enough he did not get backed in the summer, but how players like Joselu are undroppable is riddiculous.
  10. It's funnier if you read it in the voice of a spoof 80's american detective's narrating their way into the plot.

What is the worst start a relegated PL team has ever made in the Championship? I feel Portsmouth or someone did two relegations on the spin a few years ago but there can't be many worse than this.
  12. Add Swansea to that list. They'd do increadibly well to stay up this season.

Interesting to see how shite the three relegated PL teams from last year are doing, and how well us, Brighton and Huddlesfield are doing. Boro basically have their PL team minus Ramirez and De Roon, Sunderland only lost Pickford and Defoe. Both bought several players as well. Shows how good our achievement was last year really, the Championship is not that far behind the lower half of the PL.
  14. In retrospect I think it made some sense against Palace. Townsend and Zaha up front would be a nightmare to play against for Lascelles and Lejune (neither that quick) if we allowed them any space at the back. But they'll do fuck all unless they have that space. Neither are going to score a header unless someone really cocks up. We grinded them down and nicked a goal at the end.
  15. Promoted clubs currently sitting 6th, 10th and 11th. Hopefully at least couple of established PL clubs for the drop this season.
  16. makes up for two points dropped against Southampton. We were poor, especially shelvey. Good defensive performance though given the pressure they were under in large periods of the game. Lejune silenced Zaha
  17. And Lascelles had a big chunk of culpability in the last two goals conceded before today too. No where near in the same league though, at least with the Coutinho goal. He kicked a ball up a little too much in the air ffs. He may be dropped for the next game because he made a mistake and Clark has been performing well. Looked good apart from that though, would like to see him play more but I'm not sure if it is fair on Clark given his recent performances. Nice for a fucking change though to be worrying about which centre back its fair to drop, rather than which centre back deserves to be dropped the least.
  18. Notts county yes. Scunthorpe seem to be doing OK though.
  19. Been mentioned a while ago. But Rafa said he would never quit this summer as he'd given new players his word that he's staying long term. That he wouldn't tie them to this club and then f*** off. I feel getting Merino tied down is a similar story. Rafa must of given him assurances he's here for a while longer. That was the main reason I thought he would stay. Players are coming here for Rafa he wouldn't walk unless he thought his position was untenable.
  20. Lawro's latest predictions out: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/41582088 his predictions have us bottom with 0 wins

    Mikel Merino

He only scored 3 according to this: http://www.livescore.com/soccer/euro-under-21/qualification-group-2/slovakia-u21-vs-spain-u21/1-2472919/
  22. Didn't miss a game through injury last season and scored 15 goals. Supposedly only out for 6 weeks so he'll be back by January.
  23. Benteke if Palace continue like this. He'd be ideal for us.
