I thought it was about time I broke my making a thread virginity and this is something I've been wondering about. I did check the search box and couldn't find a topic on this so here goes (will be gutted if this is a giggs like): We often come across, or even use the term ourselves, "he's not the same type of player" when comparing two players who occupy the same position. For example, you could say that Rondon is not the same type of player as Gayle even though they are both centre forwards. We all pretty much know what is meant by this as they both have different attributes that mean they play that position differently. So, my question is this; using players who play in the same position as each other (and preferably comparing players from the same era of football when possible), who would you say are players who are similar enough to say they are the same type of player as each other?

This bet...just so there's less grey areas, I assume it's if Rafa signs with Ashley staying as owner for the foreseeable? Some people are hired for a certain amount of time. Proper specialist programmers for example. In entertainment folks might be hired for X amount of shows. Normally in retail, customer service etc there is no end date as such once hired.

The usual culprits like Ryder and the chronicle are there but there's now at least one Arabic suggestion (different on each one). What's with this "talks" nonsense? If some knacker goes into shit direct to buy a sondico football, do they spend weeks in talks over the price? Yes, I realize I'm simplifying but still. I always thought her serious. She even went public with her more than fair offers after ashley said she was wasting his time. Its this one I don't feel is real.

I'm just annoyed more than anything. Not falling for it. I have no doubts about what N-O folk or black cloud has been told, but I still don't believe its happening. In the next 7 days? Uh huh. Its just dragging out and making me more apathetic by the day. If they'd said something like "big announcement on Monday" then I might change my mind but the 7 days will roll around and there will be nothing but a tiny scrap of news about delays or further talks or some other bs just to drag people's hope out for longer. I don't understand this "it feels more real than the stavely affair" thing either. At first, that felt very real. I still think it was ashley at fault for that falling through. At first this takeover felt real too, but now it feels weaker than last years takeover talk. Just my feeling, hope I'm wrong.
