I really hate it when people refer to the incompetent pricks such as bruce, allerdyce, pulis, pardew et al as "dinosaurs". Like, I get what they mean but dinosaurs are fucking cool, they make toys and films out of them and childhoods bearable. Stop hating on dinosaurs. And don't get me started on calling lasses "dogs"...

Only legendary for his portrayal of Duckman.

My enjoyment of football has regressed to the point of disinterest over the past 10 years and I lay the reason for that solely at the door of Ashley. From being very aware of many players from all of our domestic leagues and around the world, enjoying catching whatever match was on TV and even getting engrossed in Football Manager every year, I now cannot even watch a match without an empty, soulless feeling. Again, all down to Ashley and his tepid servants pardew, carver, macclaren, kinnear, llambias, wise, bishop, charnley and now bruce. I felt a rekindling of excitement around Rafa and that first takeover really got my hopes up. And that's what this is about. Hope. It should be a pleasant thing, but it's being used as a measure of control over the white-feathers who still attend, praising bruce and ashley like good little sycophants. Hope keeps them in line. If llambias did follow through with his "you don't know how nasty we can get" we might have seen more of a backlash against them. Throw them a player every now and then and the masses are less unhappy to the point they think that is happiness. It's not just in Newcastle though, the entire world seems to be Eternians voting for Skeletor to rule them. But you all know all this. I don't know if i'll ever have that same feeling of enjoyment around football when ashley leaves but it's an experiment I'd like to try.

I can relate to this.

So all this time Ashley has just been the front man for the real criminal............ Ali Fraser................ I knew he would get his revenge one day after Oz shagged Vicky in Spain. Remarkable reference. Snort-laughed reading that. Brilliant.

Apparently he overturned the ban according to the Telegraph. he really is amongst the vilest human beings and I wish nothing but the worst for him.
-
Nah, it'll be about the referee assignment.
-
Agreed. It's not as bad as the "first five games" bollocks that was being spouted but it's so annoying. That's maybe fair if everyone played the exact same fixtures each season.

Opened this page and before I read the earlier pages which gave the discussion some context, I thought you were discussing your favorite ideas for the fat bastard's demise.

Felt no excitement last time with Kenyon, the most deflating of all the packs of lies we've been told. This time I feel less than nothing about this window's falsehoods.

Enjoyed the video. What I didn't enjoy was the comments from "fans" of other clubs. Why are they so bitter/blind to what ashley has done?

Did True Geordie ever interview Rafa? Too busy dealing with his instagram feed ? I just had a look at his Youtube channel to see if I could get his take on steve fucking bruce. What in the orange walled hells is his channel meant to be about? It reminded me of when Homer Simpson became a web designer. I'm not sure what he is supposed to be now but I couldn't see much football related stuff, it was all "Win a car in Monaco", something about a boxer in prison in Thailand, Connor Mcgregor from the UFC and something on Maddie McCann. If I had any interest in any of those things, he is the last person I'd look for to tell me about them. I quite liked his angry anti-ashley rants and his fury at the likes of mcclaren and carver but I have no idea what he is trying to be these days. He comes across as rather hollow. Shame.

I'm assuming he's some sort of central midfielder. Is that right?

I will be keeping my beer unopened until we see something catastrophic for the fat dickhead and something positive for us.

Between this, Poirot, Philippe Albert, my trip to Brussels and their laws on lootbox gambling, Belgium is fast becoming my favorite country.

Wish I cared. I honestly do. But no Rafa and that fat evil fucker still here with his little puppet Bruce makes me not even slightly interested. In fact, if anything I cannot even wish him well at this currently awful club.

No, we want rid of Ashley. People are willing to do things like boycott and give up season tickets because they have realised he will not go "because it's the right thing to do". He will stay because of people like you and your baffling loyalty. I appreciate your passion for the team but wouldn't you rather have a short term "pain" to get rid of the long term parasite? What would it take for you personally to stay away until Ashley goes? What is the final straw for you? EDITED FOR CLARITY: This was aimed at Seymour but others have commented after.

During the KK years, is he the sort of defender people would have been happy to have at Newcastle? Particularly 95-96? I've never really seen clips of him playing, so I've no idea if he'd have been a good fit for that side. As a manager I think he is rotten and he has shown himself to be incredibly disloyal so I now also dislike him as a man. But as a player, I thought he was an excellent defender. I detest manu, but in the early 90's him and Pallister were a phenomenal centre back pairing. Bruce used to take penalties as well (which was one thing I thought was great as it was a bit rare to have a central defender take them). If he had decided to come to us as a player, I would likely feel different about him.

I read through some of the twitter feed before and I feel physically sick at the attitude of some people. I didn't really realise it until the last couple of years but there are vast swathes of absolute thick fuckers in the human race. The mackemesque orcs that carry on like "ah well its happened. we got to support bruce now and get behind him" brigade is just staggering, and after the way voting has gone over the last few years in various places I didn't think I could be staggered any further. These stupid cretins, and I make no apologies for calling them that for that is indeed what they are, would likely back gary glitter if ashley put him in the manager's office. They are mind numbingly moronic and it makes you wonder how these people are programmed. You must think a certain way and never deviate however that negatively affects you. And these idiots then breed, a lot, and then their idiot offspring end up outnumbering the smart people. This then buggers any chance any of the smarter, better informed folks who can absorb information and make a rational decision have of instigating a change for the betterment of everyone. ashley could literally shit into the prams of their kids and they'd still trot out their ridiculous support of a man who is laughing at them.

I guess if nothing else, if we ever do those wonderful flags we used to do then his will be 1:1 scale.
-
Nowhere near the paedew level of hate, but he has definitely surpassed the useless mcclaren as a bitter disappointment. I know it's not this, but I wonder if he's been appointed on purpose so the next manager gets hailed as a wonderful appointment. I don't watch it, but a bit like the Top Gear presenter change.

Pleased about Chopra rallying to the cause. If I was a journalist, the very first question I'd ask bruce (if we really stoop so low as to hire him) is this; "In what way do you feel you are an improvement on world class manager Rafa Benitez?" And then I would ensure he actually gave an answer and not just try to waffle out of it.
-
Being a former s*nderland manager should rule him out. Him being of such a drop in caliber should rule him out. Him turning us down as a player so he could join manu should rule him out. He was one of the few players at Ferguson Utd that I didn't mind too much but do I want him anywhere near my club? Do I hell as like. Got a feeling he might tell charnley to do one, unlike that wretched prick mcclaren who'd happily suck off Carr for the job.

Add in alladyce (who I have always disliked, even before he took over at Bolton) and souness and it's a proper Hall of Embarrassment for our club. The Mike Ashley wing alone would take up a lot of the exhibit, I grant you.

Is this officially dead yet? It's feeling that way but I don't think I've seen an announcement/twitter message/ceefax page/graffiti scrawled on a bus stop to confirm that this isn't happening yet.
