Norwich do look strong at home. By way of a direct comparison so far we've both played 9 of the same teams at home. They've got 22 points, we've got 18. We both lost to Huddersfield (1-2) but they beat Wolves (3-1) and drew with Sheff Wed (0-0). Their goals for and against is 25-7 (these 9 games) ours 18-8. -
No sign of McCarthy at 'Boro. Wonder if he/they wish they'd been a bit more flexible re the £20m?

Agree it is a pivotal game, not so confident of victory though. The 2-0 score line flattered us at SJP, imo; they had a man sent off early in second half and from memory still created more than us. I am less confident of winning the title now than I have been, but a win against Norwich will give a big boost. Still think Huddersfield are the best team I have seen us play. Seems their results are starting to match their performances, which is a more significant worry. -

scotch c*** 1-0 Sour grain, apparently, not grapes. -
At a stretch I kind of get what he's saying, he pushes things (saying if he'd stayed on he'd have been MotM may have been pushing things mind), however Chelsea play to his strengths. Was nice to hear him get some (albeit, over the top) praise for his 'dirty work'/competitiveness.

As Newcastle United fans, our abiding sense of tradegy sustains us through temporary periods of joy.

This result, or rather performance (much of it anyway), coming so close to disappointment in the transfer window is tough to take. Guess this context has knocked a point or two off people's more level-headed predictions. -
I thought this too. Would like to see a replay of it The pass was only really on if he played it first time/without taking a touch, which tbf would have been easy to fuck-up (especially given the horror show which was his next attempt). By the time he had taken a touch, the defender charging back would have most likely intercepted.

Has he still not gone?

So what you saying, they will sub him off after 20 mins s if a deal is agreed? Oohh there is still a chance! Fat Sam... poker faced king of bluff? Or Rafa hating Makem-by-proxy bastard.

Confirmed he's staying until 2019. https://www.google.co.uk/amp/www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/rafa-benitez-press-conference-watch-11386791.amp?client=safari May 2016; I know. But any evidence that anything has changed?

Almost certainly, very likely to be 11:05pm; or so I possibly heard.
