If it is any consolation, he's a handsome young chap (one for the ladies/inclined chaps), unlike Tobin is really almost Irish, and meets our post-Tobin tacit transfer criteria of bound to come with top totty in tow (Tobin top totty in tow... I like it).

Seems an interesting character: http://www.sportsjoe.ie/football/ciaran-clark-reveals-10-fascinating-facts-about-himself-in-villa-site-interview/6323

Ciaran Clark... another new centreback (can play left back, apparently). Anyone think Rafa doesn't rate Mbemba/he might be away?
-
Maybe because it is 'shit or get off the pot' time for the young chap. Like another couple, if they can't do it this year then there is reason to worry about them ever fulfilling their obvious potential.

Last time Oswald Mosley and his crew rocked-up in the East End in that garb it got a bit tasty: "no pasaran: they shall not pass" (...could be wrong, don't think they were on about The Irons's playing style). https://www.theguardian.com/uk/2006/sep/30/thefarright.past

Bit of a slag her like. Ah! zee sweet juices of mon cherie Claire... many have been called, few have been chosen to fully partake in her blessings. (Metaphorically speaking chaps, I reckon being a French woman of a certain vintage, she'd have a snatch like Joe Ledley's beard...)

Rafa, standing around in Bootle last week. Now pictured in Worldsend (no offence...), he's not part time with some UN taskforce is he??

This could prove interesting, if true. We're both supposedly after Filip Helander, centre back from relegated Verona. You would be mad to turn down the premiership for the championship, surely... http://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/695313/Newcastle-Sunderland-Transfer-Gossip-Rumours-Filip-Helander-Hellas-Verona-Defender

Thought I'd share an observation, which seems more than a one-off re JJ's attitude. On Saturday he was first off the pitch, with that petulant-looking stroll of his. He looked up to the Milburn stand, nobody seemed to be paying him any attention, most were heading for the exits, and then put his head back down. I was just thinking bet he feels unappreciated, when the remainder of the players starting clapping the stands and received a decent response. If JJ had (a) stayed and joined in; (b) thought to wave/applaud, he would have received a decent response. Point is, you create your own perception of others sometimes, in that people will seem strange, or cold, when you behave strangely or coldly.

Doesn't need to be a dominant physical presence. Just surprised by lack of determination, if this is anything other than a blip, then I see it as a potentially catastrophic problem in any position and, well, he may need to grow a pair...

I suspect 99% of fans always wish for the very best for the lads coming through; particularly when they are local. Would have been great timing for Arma, if he could have shown enough to get a chance this season, which might have really helped him kick on. Despite the wishful thinking, just don't think he's shown enough for us to rely on him, even off the bench. Maybe next year/hope I'm wrong but doesn't matter either way, Rafa will know best
-
There's time yet for the lad, don't think we should rush to judgement, but unfortunately I don't think his time is now.
-
After today's performance, I say young Isaac Hayden may well be the man! Great feet, great timing in tackles. one of those players who always seems to be in the right place, really intelligent use of space, determined and vocal. Really enjoyed watching him.

Suspect performance today sealed a loan deal, unfortunately.

There was an incident in the second half where he was steaming in to the six yard box, the ball floated in, keeper and two defenders all heading for it and he didn't challenge, or even attempt to. Just lifted his hands up in that pathetic gesture he did last game when the keeper blasted the ball away. Not sure if I missed something but it was very odd behaviour for a striker; like he didn't want to risk an impact/wasn't really giving 100%. Another (less shocking) occasion where he was free with the ball, with some and time to shoot (which was clearly the best option) in the inside left channel of 18 yard box, and he checked back and popped an ineffectual cross over instead. Not on it; head elsewhere?

Good goal today, a couple of decent runs and broke-up their play well. Dawned on me though, I have never seen a footballer grab hold of the opposition as much as Colback. His hands were first point of contact more than his feet, wonder how many of the daft freekicks he's given away are because of this? Rafa should make the bugger practice with his hands tied behind his back.
-
Tobin at right back. Decent run backheel nutmeg. Canny. [edit] whoops! It was Sterry.
-
Hayden has been the highlight for me. Great feet, mainly keeps it simple, but reads the game really well and done some nice justified moaning when he's sneaked into good space and the ball's gone backwards. We're going to love him. Not as much as Mitro is going to love Ritchie. Phenomenal delivery.
-
Nowhere as many here as was expecting. Lees than half full at mo.
-
If he's bought Ritchie to play on the right ( left footed) I suspect that is just what he has in mind.

See the little paedo with the airplane arms and animal porn, That's right, he jacks-off to mare. That little paedo had a 2 acre garden, That little paedo is a millionaire.

Half of the Tyne Bridge isn't on the Newcastle side, which means that it isn't Newcastle and is therefore, by definition, Sunderland's. That's the level of petty one-upmanship I feel like we have to deal with. When did this even start? Somebody is fucking crying-out for some local geography lessons.
-
Just bought two in 1892. Struggled to find two together in Milburn or East Stand, but plenty still in either end.

As if, dude. The world's not ready for ALL my inner thoughts!
