Was it Luke Edwards?

It still strikes me as slightly surreal that our perennially overlooked Rolando can go off to get game time and potentially be turning out against Roma tomorrow. Feels like the world’s tilted, and it should be Scunthorpe or similar. No offence/slight to RA, btw, I think he has all the potential/the world at his feet (third season in a row I have picked as being ‘his season’). Just seems strange.

I bet it is a really, really low ‘genuine’ average attendance for this season.
-
Hard to exclude anyone above. Though personally I’d have to find a place for Sane. Probs lose Mahrez (‘art’ following life...)
-
Do clubs ever release actual attendance? Surely they must review how many sold tickets were actually redeemed/scanned on the day?

1Pantilimon in goal as well!

Which, ON (off of NO), makes me a little optimistic. Because now that his basic business model is no longer applicable, emotion aside, given he can see this, has said as much, it is tick-tock until he’s off.

I reckon these are the most likely wins remaining: Huddersfield H Southampton H WBA H Palace A Watford A Then: Bournemouth A Aresenal H Leicester A Everton A Chelsea H Man Utd H Spurs A Liverpool A

Yep. Not getting the points, we might have reasonably expected, from: Burnley, Brighton, Swansea, Watford, Bournemouth, even Leicester at home (3 fucking points from 6 winnable home games ) means to stay up, we are going to have to get points we aren’t reasonably expected to get.

Nasri as a kind of elder statesman David Platt type playing behind Slimani. It’s a yes from me.

I agree. We suffered a painful and unnecessarily premature ex-amoebi-ation.

I don’t think some people realise the capability level of professional footballers. Especially those maintaining top flight careers. Joselu will be excellent at striking the ball, there was a recent quote about him being one of the best finishers at the club. Of course he’ll be aware of how he is perceived, he looked near suicidal after the two misses against Burnley. If you watched him train or joined in some shooting practice with him you’d no doubt think he was a world-beater. Whilst he’s never going to turn into something he isn’t, I really think a bit of back to basics (blast the f***er on target) and luck/rub of the green would do wonders for him. Suspect he’s missed his chance now (no pun), but maybe Slimani can show him the way.

I quite liked Cordone... surprised that nobody has chucked Andreas Hairband into the mix.

Various: Mike Ashley in talks with Sheikh Khaled bin Zayed Al Nehayan

I was looking for an article I have linked in here before re Ashley’s reasons for buying the club, which sounded truthful. Can’t find it but found this (more a propaganda piece or at least an article with a clear purpose). http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/n/newcastle_united/7615655.stm -
Islam Slimani - Returned to Leicester
Altamullan replied to Figures 1-0 Football's topic in Football
Who knows, but I really, really hope we are all desperate for him to. At home to Chelsea, takeover confirmed, Rafa beaming with pride after his team’s phenomenonal unbeaten run, The Slim Man bangs in his 13th goal... cue banners, adoration, and mucho pleading. -
I do hope he has someone (a Supemac or Micky Quinn type) to help him keep things in context plus tell him to stop thinking so much and just strike the ball. He is apparently a very good finisher/has the technical skill. A good couple of blasters would probably sort his head right out.

That’s hilarious!!

Big girl’s blouse! -
Horrific haemorrhoids.

Is the one most likely to score, the right answer? Or the one most likely to work hardest? Or, to most precisely comply with his tactical brief?

3-0 and 3-2 vs West Ham; 1-0 and 2-1 vs Palace, second London double coming-up. -
I suspect the point AlexJack is making is that however much you monitor particular training stats, the ability to influence a match is more than the sum of any data you can measure. Obviously, a player needs to be fit enough to contribute but beyond that it is easy to drift into scientism/believing the numbers tell you something they really don’t.
