Because he was an absolute joy to watch. Ginola/Gascoigne/Beardsley, with the ball; Speed/Watson/Clark, without. First time I saw him play (reserves, high-up in an empty SJP) I was breathless (not just from climb). His range of passing—to perceive the space/chance and to be able to execute the pass—just exquisite. Plus he always seemed so humble and fuck me, the fella could sweat!!

Have I missed a memo somewhere? Lejuene seems to have gone from being perceived very positively to being seen as shite. I wish he would learn not to head the ball to the opposition, but other than a couple of gaffs I haven’t noticed anything deserving of a Williamson slur.

I can see Keys lining up some Sports Defect after dinner speeches for the next stage of his tail-spinning career; suspect he’d fit right in.

Had an argument at a local Non League game with another Newcastle fan last week because he wants Rafa sacked. I asked who he would like to see replace him and he replied with Tony Pulis. There are people like this out there. All human life is out there. The more ‘spthecial’ opinions usually get diluted amongst the relatively sensible majority.
