  1. Das Bost Samaris Loftus Cheek Gibbs Exciting rumours.
  2. Here you are mate, store this in the dark dusty corners of your lexicon: That fine fellow Irish fella Florian Tobin, was no Tadhg (or taig) na sráide (average man). Or: he must have been a grand tadhg (poet) to keep a fine young filly like that entertained. [afterthought: most people, particularly religious bigots of all denominations don't know the word as anything other than a form of abuse; which doesn't really mean anything other than 'a Tim', i.e. Commonly occurring Irish name (of old) so best choose your 'dinner parties' carefully when thinking of dropping it in! ]
  3. Not sure the numbers tally with your assertion, nor my memory for that matter. I know it was a popular conclusion 'they can't defend' and than 'they've a we'll score one more than you mentality' but we finished 4 points behind a very good Man Utd side (the foundation of which would go on and win The Champions League). Who beat us at their place and (somehow) at ours: our only home defeat. We only conceded 2 more goals than them. We scored 7 fewer. We kept 13 clean sheets (though only three were away). That was the same as Arsenal, who conceded the fewest goals that year (finished 5th).
  4. Philleas Fogg? Michael Palin? though he likes a bit of car action as well, slut...
  5. I doubt he'd manage a moonwalk. What with one his legs being shorter than the other Harsh. Suspect it wouldn't be a disadvantage, probs just add a jaunty hip roll to the move. He might even chuck in a hair-toss/head-bang or two as icing on the cake.
  6. Car man huh? Take it on the chin man, a measly four wheels isn't the most popular way to travel.
  7. Watson never a centre back, but fwiw I think he was a great all round footballer and if he hadn't been so versatile, and had been given the right kind of developmental support, he would have had an even better career as a specialist box to box midfielder.
  8. Pongo Snodgrass? (That sounds almost plausible as trips nicely off the tongue as a nickname!)
  9. I hear a transfer comin' a rollin' round the bend I ain't seen good football since I don't know when... Well I'm stuck in N-O Prison and time keeps dragging on...
  10. Think I prefer reading the angst-ridden bed-wetting to the travel...
  11. Lejeune suits Black & White stripes. New shorts and socks look a bit scratty though... The lad could do with a boot deal too!
  12. Why wouldn't you have a nice 1st class jaunt across the Pennines, with complementary food and drink, rather than drive? (Espeicially as he may need to get started early for Ashley-style piss-up business meeting! )
  13. Ditto. Seen enough of Mo; not seen enough of Siem (... though nor has anyone since about 2013 iirc). That said, who was it he missed the critical header against 2015-16? Remember feeling like I'd seen enough at that point.
  14. Here's hoping for sticky sheets in the not too distant future
  15. Got a feeling Loftus-Cheek might be on the radar. Would be really pleased to see him arrive.
  16. Still hoping for a couple of pleasant surprise signings, who stretch the meaning of the word 'realistic'.
  17. Smoggie striker. 13 goals in 47 appearances last year.
  18. Still hoping for something along these lines for away kit. http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-hPt5EuPzXw4/VcOErJ-qeDI/AAAAAAAApJ8/SrxIxQ8Lr4s/s1600/all-20-teams-first-premier-league-kit-newcastle-united.jpg
  19. 2018 Check-a-trade trophy champions coming up. Then cheerio Mike?? Was kinda hoping winning The Championship might have counted.
