Aye you just need to look at Ronaldo who was probably the best at that type of thing. Think he finished third top scorer last year, this season he looked like he couldn't score on Epstein's Island. You can just lose that edge overnight. He's a strange one as he's poor at everything I expected him to be somewhat decent at but at the same time I could never have pictured him setting the tone leading from the front in an intense pressing side, which he has done really well.

Didn't think he was great at the World Cup either, mind. Don't think he's a patch on Bruno who many claimed he was much better than.

This commentary duo is awful.

Thurham at the price is a no brainer when Murphy and Wood are still getting minutes. We still lack depth and strong options from the bench. I know we are in the top 4 now but it's really not a top 4 squad it's just miraculous work by Eddie that has us there.

Think he only really suited that 4231 that alot of teams were using for a while. The free role with no defensive responsibility and total freedom in attack. Don't really think he fits in anywhere in a 433 or 3 ATB or any side that likes to press as a team. Clearly other issues as well, mind. When he played for Everton he looked like he couldn't be arsed at all.

Heard him on a podcast the other week and basically all his stories involve him going into the changing rooms and trying to fight one of his team mates to get a 'reaction'. He came across as a right knacker.
