  1. Doubt we'll go for Philips now that Miley has emerged. We have other fires to put out.

    Lewis Hall

And Livramento is 2 years older and has two seasons of first team football under his belt. They aren't the same player.
  3. Three bad games, get a grip man you’re embarrassing.
  4. It's shortsighted in the extreme and typical in its own of the way this forum reacts. If he's still playing shite in February I'll take your point, but to say 'the decline has begun' with regard to one of, if not our best player after three poor performances is nothing other than reactionary bullshit.
  5. He has had three bad games. Get a grip.
  6. Isak and Murphy I'll give you. Joelinton played like 7 games in a row before he was injured again
  7. The odds for this are crazy - Chelsea 4/5 on and Newcastle almost 3-1. Can't see why that is?
  8. Trippier literally just had a rest, he has to start. I'm not convinced with Livra at RM.
  9. Gordon didn't show anything from January until the summer. Maybe afford Barnes the same amount of patience?
  10. Has there been any updates at all on him in the last 10 days?
  11. I defend our own players perhaps more than I should at times so I get where you're coming from, and I see they work hard. But overpaid is pretty much the definition of both of those players. I was interested to hear you say Antony's been playing 'very well' given the result last weekend - I checked back and still zero goals or assists all season
  12. Weeding out the lazy overpaid players while bringing in Mason Mount and Antony ffs
  13. He is trying to suggest, with seemingly no irony, that it is an achievement that last year Man U finished above a Newcastle side that was battling relegation in the previous season. It's an absolutely insane/deluded take.
  14. Incredibly harsh on Barnes given he's played five games for us. The same was being said about Gordon in January...
  15. Eh? He’s been dropped several times recently
  16. Absolutely nailed it. Especially the fact he hasn't played in two years and is unsurprisingly looking rusty. Our fanbase has a really bad habit of getting attached to certain players (Tino, Bruno, Isak) and absolutely piling on to others (Dubs, Burn, Longstaff) and letting that massively impact on their opinion of performances. Livramento, Schar and Bruno were all culpable for at least one goal last night and yet Tino's entire thread is full of praise for him while Dubs is getting dogs abuse for not saving a shot from 2 yards away from him.
  17. I agree he could have done better v Spurs, I'm not defending that. I'm saying blaming a goalkeeper for a shot hit hard from two yards out is mental.
  18. I'm not going to blame any keeper for not saving a shot from 2 yards out. Could he have saved it - maybe. To suggest he should have done better is harsh in the extreme. I didn't see Pope getting pelters for the Dortmund goals and nor should Dubs for those last night. The second one was placed perfectly in the corner with Dubravka diving full stretch - what exactly do you expect him to do
  19. I'm sorry but Dubs didn't have a chance with either of the goals. Blame him all you want for the previous two games but you're applying impossible standards to him if you think he should have done better last night.
  20. Tight hamstring according to Howe
  21. Gordon was injured and it was a must win game. We literally had no other options.

    Joelinton

Absolutely outstanding from start to finish. Him and Bruno dovetailed brilliantly. And there's people who think he isn't good enough to be a starter for us in the future
