The cunt never thought we’d finish tenth..

We’ve made a few changes to the team, they’re exactly the same. There can be a case to make that we deserved something from each of the fixtures against them last season. We definitely had chances at Wembley. Normally I’d be positive going into a fixture like this but we’ve been so off the boil in pre season, it’s hard to see how things will suddenly click.
-
Allardyce is definitely angling for the job next summer, especially after that olive branch by Mike Ashley in his last sky interview. The propaganda machine is already in full swing and will be doing everything to tarnish Rafa between now and then, the more effective they are, the less anger there will be from us when it happens.

Pre-Season 2018/19: Newcastle United 0 - 1 FC Augsburg (FT)

Not so sure - swap Perez and Joselu out for Mutu and Rondon (if we get him), start with Kennedy and Dubravka (and maybe Ki) and it's not quite so doom and gloom. We’re only a few decent results from the mood lifting but with the start of the season we have, it’s hard to see where that’s going to come from. We can’t say pre season results are meaningless either, the writing was on the wall for Sunderland after the Celtic shit show last summer and we were all to happy to point that out. We’re probably playing the German equivalent of Huddersfield today and we barely caused them any bother. The club has taken a massive step backward this summer (stating the obvious..) Can’t see how things will turn around in the space of a week.. -

Some cunt suggesting that transfer fees weren’t mental in 2014.
-
Mahrez cost Leicester less than a million. 4 and a half years ago, aye. Transfer fees were already crazy by then. You fail to see my point. Most players can be bought for cheap at some point in their career. It means nothing. A large transfer fee does not guarantee you success. Some club could have spunked 30 million on William Carvalho last summer, look how s*** he turned out to be in the World Cup. Bet he’s not worth half that now. It should be about spending money wisely, if that means a player is worth 60m but fits into a team well then so be it. The only one who can judge that properly is the manager and his scouting team. Gareth Bale was sold for 91 million.
-
Ok then if you want to take the same year, 2014, We signed Rivière for 6.5m, Mahrez cost about a 10th of that. The same year we also signed Lascelles for 5 million. Far from shit. Transfer fees mean nothing unless you are buying a well established top international player, something we’re not ever going to do while Mike Ashley is here. So shut the fuck up and learn to accept when your opinion is wrong.

Really hope they don't tbh Agreed. Wouldn’t be surprised if those Instagram accounts are the work of Bishop. Sow the seeds and let the media do the rest..

Full transcript Q: Rafa, what are your reflections after that tonight? Benitez: It was a bad game. We did not do things the way we have to. “Ten days before the start of the season now and this is wake up call. We have to realise we can’t make these mistakes. “Things are not going well off the pitch and you can see a reflection of that on the pitch.” Q: What things do you mean when you say it’s not going well off the pitch? Benitez: “Everything.” Q: Are there any players close to coming in? Benitez: “I have no idea.” Q: The players told us after the game they couldn’t speak to us, why was that? Benitez: “As I say things aren’t going well off the pitch and you can see a reflection. “We were poor and we made too many mistakes. We have to wake up - that’s it.” Q: Do you expect deals in the remainder of the window? Benitez: “We will try to change things in the next 10 days. We will try our very best. “I have no idea. We can talk and be close but after we’re not so close.” Q: Is there money to spend? Benitez: “I have no idea.” Q: The fans are frustrated out there... Benitez: “They have to be concerned. We are concerned. They have to be concerned. “We are also concerned.” Q: So you expect deals to be done? Benitez: “Maybe, maybe not. I still think we need three or four more players.” Q: What is the situation with Gayle? Benitez: “It seems he will stay". Q: Lascelles has been linked with a move away, could he go? Benitez: “I don’t think we will lose any of the players we have at the moment but I can’t say too much. “I can’t say too much about players coming because in the end it depends on so many things and we don’t finish the deals.” What an absolute shit show..

Potential shirt sales in Japan / exposure to new markets etc. It’s fairly straightforward.

“Ok Rafa, you can have 100m to spend as you like over the next 8 days OR, you can have what’s inside the box” “Thé box! Thé box!” And so the transfer window came to pass

This is probably the first time since Ashley’s been here that a manager is openly calling him and his cronies out. Keegan also did so but it was after he quit. In a sense that played into Ashley’s hands. This isn’t, because Benítez won’t quit. No matter how badly Ashley acts, Benítez is keeping his cool and getting on with it while at the same time making it known that he’s basically trying to save the club all on his own. And little by little even the most ignorant of journalists are starting to notice the penny dropping. The longer and worse this situation gets, the worse it gets for Mike Ashley. He had the demeanour of a rat backed into a corner in that photo from last night.

Must be demoralising working for that web tv shite. You know exactly what’s going on but you have to tow the line when it comes to what goes out. Hardly like they’re on big money either so they all probably have mortgages riding on it. Fair fucks to Rafa, stuck it right to them tonight. That photo of Ashley as well, I can just picture him getting a phone call moments before that and just after Rafas interview, Wendy Taylor saying “we have a problem”
-
Did anyone see the nufc tv interview? So awkward, the guy kept steering the questions away from what was happening off the pitch, Rafa kept going back to it..
-
As if. If he was doing that then he would have been in touch with Staveley and others. He’s pocketing the cash, that’s all. Yup, wishful thinking as I said. It’s useless to speculate on who’s been in contact with him. I still have my doubts about Staveley, don’t think she had near the money needed. I’m guessing that she wanted to complete the purchase of the club in the hope that she could then convince the Middle East money to join her. It’s obvious that none of those people want to deal directly with Ashley.
-
The only positive scenario I can think of is that he’s pocketing all of the cash to “repay the loan” to clear the path for a new owner. Wishful thinking I suppose but otherwise it’s about as negative (the situation) as it gets. Basically a season long countdown to oblivion. Tick tock.

You’re mistaken. Putting a group together as one single voice makes it very easy for them to ignore. What happened on Twitter regardless of whoever organised it got plenty of attention. It was a mini trending hashtag. But more importantly the campaign to troll all of Sports Direct’s ventures over twitter caused them at least a small headache. It damaged their brand. It was effective. The next logical step would be to popularise it more, introduce a slight variation but aiming at more coverage, more posts, more retweets etc. All they have done is canned something that was organic and was growing. In order to have a successful movement you need to understand how to maximise your efforts on social media. This needs a digital marketing approach. This Magpie group should have had the cop on to ask people in the know before putting all of this to a halt. Nothing is stopping. You're absolutely mental. The twitter campaign has all but stopped to a trickle. Are you saying all those people who had been participating are now flocking to themagpiegroup.co.uk instead of mainstream social media? You’re deluded man. I work for a large digital agency who specialises in this area, I think I’ll trust my instincts/experience on this one!

We’ve been saying it all summer and now it’s come down to this. Nobody should be surprised about anything that happens anymore. This club has fucking AIDS. Everton are totally the wrong club for him, mind. He deserves to be at a better club than that because we all know he’s going to captain his next club too, no matter who it is. 35m is cheap. Sooner we sell him off and Rafa leaves the better. There will always be a slimmer of hope while the manager is here. Maybe the masses will wake up finally.
