Our manager isnt the most tactically astute unfortunately, I think he's going to throw this away
-
16 years ago when we made the first world cup in decades, there was a hope that it would spark the country to taking the game seriously, but its had constant mismanagement since, with poor youth development (losing one of our best young prospects to Italy the way we have) and nearly all media undermining the sport (one or our biggest sporting shows on weekend just gone didn't even mention the world cup being on). It's no surprise that when we end up on the world stage we look completely out of our depth, and I don't think it's going to change anytime soon
-
It's one of the worst Australian sides we've had in a long time as well, with a manager who really isn't up to the job
-
Unlucky to his the post there, but Loris was way to casual as well
-
Poor first touch from a pass in the backline, bit of pressure and capitulated
-
Well we've now out performed my expectations of how we would do against France.
-
Looking at that squad, it's insane to think Redmayne is playing in this world cup and Italy isnt
-
Definitely feels like if we're sitting in this position come the world cup, the club will take advantage of the situation we have and open the wallet up to help push on further
-
Deliberately didn't have his best game to allow joe Linton to shine in front of the Brazil manager to get him a plane ticket as well. But probably exhaustion from first week as a dad.
-
The way he can just not stop for 90 minutes, swear he must start every day off with a marathon to warm up.
-
Comes to watch MIng's decides to take Longstaff instead
-
I want him to go, because its the last real chance he will get at a world cup, and while he may not see a huge amount of game time, the experience will stay with him for life, and I'd love our players to be happy with their football.

Pickford with 2 great saves already
-
He's got so much stamina, that this high intensity pressing system works well for him, because it plays to his strengths, He's also unlearning all the mistakes that Bruce put into him, great performance from him today, hope to see him continue to grow as a player
-
Emery decided to stay where he is yet?
-
Or incentivises concussing an opponent to earn an extra sub
-
Yeah their medical team fucked up, left him on when they should've taken him off, then 5 minutes later hes down again, obviously not in a good spot. Hopefully hes ok
-
5 + the bonus for a concussion sub
-
Their defence doesn't have any formation though, they have just stuck players back there and said dont let the opposition score, but with no tactics on how they are meant to do this.
-
Just wait for the injury that Ming's will inflict on him.
-
Trippier giving Lascelles the captains armband as soon as he's on the field is such a great show of class from him.
-
The passing is sublime this half, the little touch and moves, knowing exactly where the players are, the team looks so well drilled now. Its insane to think the club has turned around so much in such a short period of time. Add in the intensity the team is able to maintain, absolutely brilliant to watch.

murphys fucking post
-
Great cross from Murphy, Wilson is better in the air then i remember him being

Us playing poorly and this being the kind of match that we would slip up on in the past understandably left many feeling nervous. This second half is a completely different game
