Isak hasn't had the trim that he has on that cover since he was at Dortmund 4 and a half years ago.

Are Transfer Checker reliable or are they just wannabe ITKs?

If Saint-Maximin was capable of putting in performances akin to his v Man City (H) every week he probably wouldn't be playing for us. But he's the only one in the squad capable of a performance like that against a side like that. Man City were terrified of him. Getting rid of a player that has that factor is not something I think we should do.

Article says a whole lot of nothing. We "could sell Saint-Maximin this window". Cutting edge stuff.

Irrationally fills me with rage, that Edwards patter.

I don't think any of the signings we've made since the takeover have been prolonged in public aside from Botman.

Mad. What a moment for Trafford. Get in, lad.

Our players shouting "Francis Drake 1588" at the Spanish bench there. Fantastic scenes.

31st December 2022 - 30th September 2023; the time it's taken for us to have a home Saturday 3pm game.

Wor fatha who went there in 2003 said it's an absolute shit hole. Same with Milan as a city outside of the main square where the cathedral is. May have changed in 20 years, like.

Diaby for me. Watched far more of him recently and ticks a lot of boxes for us.
-
I'd sell Maxi for Barnes and one of either Chiesa, Diaby or Lindstrøm. But only if we got 2 players, not 1.
-
It's bollocks. But he doesn't successfully take on his man anywhere near as much as other wingers.
-
Just read that Barnes averages 1 take-on every 3 games? That can't be right?

Let me cut to the chase. We are not getting Chiesa. Or Lindstrøm. Or Diaby. Or Harvey Barnes. Or Kudus. In seriousness, personally do have slight reservations about Chiesa given that ACL and subsequent form after, mind. As much as I'd be chuffed if he signed here.

Internazionale Newcastle.

That article doesn't actually say that much other than we're after a LW. Which surprises me unless there's a significant outgoing.

Some reach, that. Of course I trust Ashworth and Howe and of course does every signing not have to be £60m+ otherwise they're crap. I was talking about one specific player, Moussa Diaby, whom is likely going to have his club command a similar fee to what we paid for Tonali. There may be a gem out there in South America or somewhere that no one's ever heard of that we end up getting and ends up being class. Who knows? ASM started 31 matches in 2021/22 btw. He's just been unlucky with injuries, confidence and increased competition this season just gone. And someone as good as he is or at least possesses the factor that he does (that we've probably heard of) likely won't be available for £30m-£45m which is likely to be what we get for him.
-
I can see Leverkusen asking for a similar fee if not higher fee than what we paid Milan for Tonali, so I don't think what we'd get for ASM would cover the fee for Diaby. It's part of the reason why I don't want ASM sold, we won't replace him with anyone better for the fee we'd get.

Don't understand the Harvey Barnes link, he's as LW as a LW can get whilst we have Saint Max, Gordon, Joelinton and even Isak and Anderson who can play there. (FWIW I don't want Isak on the left, he's our future through the middle. And I don't especially rate Anderson but the one performance of his where I've been impressed with him was Forest away where he was on the left). On top of that, Joelinton and Willock interchanging on the left was brilliant at times for us last season. A RW is what we need. Would be both an upgrade and competition for Murphy and Almiron. Diaby, Raphinha, Lindstrom, Kudus; that ilk. Only issues I can really foresee is the fee it would take to get any of those given FFP constraints.

Had a flick through this thread again and these posts articulate how I feel about ASM far better than I could word on my own. (cheers lads @St. Maximin @Kid Icarus @LFEE)
