Had a grandstand view of it, pure instinct. Right shame. Especially as he's probably been our player of the season so far.
-
Aye. I'd have sacked him and brought Benitez in in January last season.
-
That couldn't have gone any worse. Shocking start defensively cost us. Saint-Maximin was excellent, Wilson should score late on, didn't disgrace ourselves. Not exactly the tonic ahead of next Sunday which I'm not confident for in the slightest anymore. Think top 4 is looking a way beyond us a bit now, given its now 1 win in 8. And Liverpool play 3 times before we play a fixture that isn't Man City away. Happy days. Rank.

Horrible news. Big part of the promotion team and the side that initially kept us up in the couple years that followed. Seemed a lovely guy too. RIP.
-
Amazed they've taken action like. Bald cunt robbed us of a perfectly good goal at home to Palace. Could end up costing us a CL spot due to those (potentially) lost 2 points.
-
Robert having a bite to eat and a pint down the Quayside going by his Instagram story. At the game tomorrow probably, anyone reckon they've invited those who played regularly under SBR to the game as part of the tribute?

I think I managed to stay for the whole game iirc. Was unbelievable how utterly shit we were, 1 ball either over the top or straight through the middle of the centre halves and Sturridge and Coutinho were through on goal. Think we conceded the exact same goal 3 or 4 times. Christ, me PTSD is getting triggered.

Most vile game I've been to and there's a few contenders. But it's between that or the second mackem 0-3 I think. Pardew the common denominator, obvs. Nah that was 1-5, 2008 under Kinnear. They destroyed us under Allardyce as well in the previous season but that was 0-3.
-
The 0-6 was abysmal, mind. First home game after the Di Canio mackem thrashing. Heady days.
-
Fairly sure that Howe had shown the players clips and stuff from times gone by either last season or earlier this season. They'll know who Keegan is. I was born in 2000 and have more knowledge (and club shirts and training wear) from the Keegan period than from when I first started going to games in 2006-10.

Back in 2014. https://www.eurosport.com/football/premier-league/2012-2013/manchester-city-v-sunderland-called-off-due-to-storm_sto4133610/story.shtml?amp=1

I'm a maybe. All just depends on what myself and those I usually go to the match with are doing for that game (assuming its on the same day) and my own personal fitness. Had far too much beer recently and more takeaways this past couple months than Danny Malin, fat as fuck.

Makes that "limited edition" or whatever the fuck Castore dross look good.
-
Aye, I watched Feyenoord v Lazio pre WC and the atmosphere was just unreal. Desperately want to see us play Champions League football like, but Europa League football being back is a hell of a consolation.
-
Close to if not over a grand I think? For a new one anyway, unsure on what people on the price freeze deal pay. My seat for this game was 67(!) quid so I imagine that's what it's about. Baulked at paying 67 like but with the availability at the time it was either pay that or don't get in, and like fuck am I missing any home games this season.
-
I know the Champions League is the be all and end all and where everyone wants to be, but the Europa League is mint like. Some great potential away trips and clubs in it. We better not even dare of finishing outside the top 6. If you don't like it you've been scarred by Pardew.

Nah, bottom corner of L2D. Right next to the director's box but on the Gallowgate side. Lowest number I was in the queue for this game was ~4000th so I couldn't get my usual old ST East Stand seat next to me fatha and that was all that was left. Last time I sat there I think was for the AZ Alkmaar game back in 2007, when I was still a bairn.
-
Brother is up for this game so starting down the Tyne Bar at around noon. Lord. Also in the Platinum Club with the Ponteland middle class mags for this for the first time since 2007ish. Have genuinely no idea where I'm going. There turnstiles for it or? pls help

At SJP, we didn't come from behind at HT to win in the league for over 12 years. December 2006, 3-2 v Reading, 1-2 down at HT. January 2019, 2-1 v Man City, 0-1 down at HT.
-
He was dropped after that game. We lost against Arsenal and then again at West Brom. After that Stoke game on Boxing Day we were 6 points off top. Sold Cabaye and it all fell apart, first time the anti-Ashley malaise really started kick off since the Keegan debacle iirc. Anger at Hughton's sacking only lasted for the build up to that Liverpool game iirc, may be wrong like. Was only just about to turn 10.
-
Tickled at his recent Insta post, its down the Powerleague in Dunston. Plenty of unfit morons such as I have graced that astro.
-
Cabaye v Stoke at home in the 2011-12 season another. 2 goals and an unreal assist.
-
Recency bias is killing me here. Krul v Spurs away 13/14 Wilson v Arsenal last home game of last season, without scoring somehow. Bruno v Brentford at home this season? There'll be a few others I'm just not remembering.

Real lack of the 'ah hord yi' bloke on some of our flags iyam.
