Messaged Man City mate of mine, is just thinking about the Super Cup atm but expects a tough game and Alvarez to play the KDB role.
-
Well you'll just have to make do with the post match session in town.
-
Aye, another stonewaller but we were awful that night and deserved to lose. Wolves should've won this which will sting them even more.
-
That's genuinely a disgrace. I'd be spitting feathers if we didn't get that. Mental.

They do well between both boxes and create chances but just don't finish them. Been the case for a while and Jimenez is gone who hasn't been prolific since that horrible head injury anyway but they haven't replaced him. Neves would chip in with 5 or so and he's gone as well. It's why I think they'll really struggle. Threw a tenner on them, Luton and Sheff Utd going down as soon as Lopetegui left.
-
Think they've been saying that for a while now, from 2020-21 to now they've not had a player score more than 6 goals in a season.
-
Went from Sion to Leipzig to Hertha to Atleti then to Wolves after leaving Brazil. Is he even a striker? He's never been prolific even in the Bundesliga.
-
Did think a CB that we want in a similar mould to Botman but right footed would take a big fee and they'll postpone that until next summer. Hall or Tierney would round off a really good window.

Licha "The Butcher" Martinez HAULED off by Erik Ten Hairs ?

Could be 0-2.

Well, based on the incredibly small sample size of this opening 20 minutes and the game yesterday, Chelsea, Liverpool and Man Utd aren't exactly teams to fear.
-
Likely knew he had to hurry it along as they're short for time after spending too long talking about the Battle of Mid on Sunday.

Libpewl Convinced Chelsea are just trolling them at this point.

I despise this fixture; for my entire life it's been nothing but total misery. We're on a run of 14 consecutive losses in the league here and haven't scored for 5 years (turns out Yedlin got our last goal in this fixture), seem to always concede an early goal (last 5 games we've conceded first on the 16th, 19th, 14th, 10th and 8th minutes) and never seem to get the rub of the green. However... I feel this is the best chance we've had in years of getting a positive result, which is a point in my eyes, against a Guardiola managed Man City. Last season we deserved something from the game, should've scored at least twice and the game was played immediately after the League Cup final when Wilson was having that period of playing like he had lead in his boots. De Bruyne out for them, them over in Greece playing the Wednesday before, our lads full of confidence after battering a side who some backed in pre season to finish above us, Tonali superb on his debut, Isak firing on all cylinders. Aye, still would rip your arm off for a point as Newcastle United just don't ever do well at Man City away even when we're good and they're shit. 1 win in 23 visits, man. But I feel we have a hell of a chance this time.

Should've won 7 or 8-1 regardless like. Agree though. Genuinely think we could do someone 7, 8 or 9-0 this season at SJP.

My dad saw him play a few times, convinced he would've been the best player we've ever had and talked about alongside the likes of Best from that era. Second half of 71/72 he was apparently unbelievable. See highlights of our win at Old Trafford that season for a glimpse of him. (which was our only win at Old Trafford for years until Cabaye hit one in the bottom corner). Got crocked away at Palace, another reason to loathe the boring feckers. Anyway to answer your original question I'd go Willock when he was on loan or Townsend. Probably had the best run of form of his career in those 5 months. Without his goals that season we would've been knackered but we were 6 points off top at the close of play on Boxing Day that season. Selling Cabaye and not replacing him despite knowing for months he was leaving is what spawned the abomination that was the second half of that season.

Already shitting me kegs regarding that.

I'm on the Everton away match cam from last season looking as gormless as ever.

This obviously depends on who we draw in the group and the Ro16 (ie we could get a group of Bayern, Real Madrid & Milan which wouldn't be ideal ) but can see us getting to the quarter finals. We're the team no one will want in pot 4 and I can honestly see us winning all of our home games. Posted a few times now I think, but in terms of playstyle and trajectory there's similarities between us and the first few years of Liverpool under Klopp. First time they got to the CL under him they reached the final first season, a huge part of that is how they play the game which is inherently similar to us and Anfield on CL nights. SJP should be even better.

That not just where the hoardings that the clocks next to the dugouts were on have been taken out? Read that because of UEFA rules regarding hoardings we've had to take them out but unsure if that's bullshit.

The bloke in your avatar imo.

It's about time we did Liverpool, like. Last time we did Wijnaldum scored for us. 16:30 kick off time in two weeks hopefully allows the crowd to be fully bevved up and make it the ground really nasty for them. Klopp is heinous and I'll never forget their fans booing our team off at Anfield last season.

Jacob Murphy when he dinked Ederson in our first season back in the PL under Benitez. Lost 3-1. Previous to that was Mitrovic in a game in which we were much the better side first half, took the lead, had a wrongly disallowed goal that would've put us 0-2 up yet we proceeded to cave in and lose 6-1. Last time we got a result in the league there was November 2006, a 0-0 draw. We've never won in the league at the Etihad and have beaten Man City away only once in the PL, in September 2000. Before I was born.
