Aye, how I feel about matchdays now.

On Boxing Day we stuffed Stoke 5-1 and were 6 points off top. We sold Cabaye, didn't replace him even though the club knew for months that he was leaving and we capitulated. Broke records for consecutive defeats, many 0-3 and 0-4 defeats at home, games without scoring. That 2nd half of 2013-14 was an absolutely awful time to be a Newcastle fan. It wasn't necessarily the football under Pardew as to why I personally resent the revisionism of him (though it was atrocious at times) but how he talked about and belittled both the club and expectations. Dedicating a 2-0 win over Chelsea to 'Mike', claiming that Newcastle United 'can't compete with Swansea and Southampton', saying 'thank god we're not in Europe' after 2012-13 to cover his own arse. Think I've posted this before but I think Pardew's shtick throughout 2012-13 scarred many of our fans and Ashley. After every shit result, performance, defeat and/or injury he'd blame it on the Europa League. He was more than happy to only bring in Amalfitano and Anita in the summer before he started to spout that to cover his own arse. Many of our fans bought it and I think still do, many won't want UECL or UEL this season due to those tropes and it all stems from Pardew and that season. Think also that Ashley bought it hence why we never overly strengthened in January from a moderate position of security, the ambition post 2012-13 was just to float from 17th-10th as Europe to the club then just brought a risk of injuries therefore a risk of relegation. Fuck Pardew for all of that.

Wanted him in January on loan when we had 2 wins after 21 games. Once safety was secured, our sights were rightly turned elsewhere to better.

Some save from yi da at Anfield.

Don't have a webcam and my mic is fucked, seeeewwwwy.

Liverpool v Rangers tonight is going to be a bit feisty. Quite a few Rangers fans in the home end, brutal exchanges happening on Twitter, lovely stuff.

Aye, might do. Why not. Is it just general football knowledge or NUFC knowledge?

Using a uni resource for recreational reasons. Fighting the power, respect it.

Around 1pm I think?

pfft if you love Benitez so much why don't you just shag him
-
Not on here, he isn't. A deek on social media shows the complete opposite amongst a few fanbases.
-
Not a lot. He's probably widely viewed as yesterday's man now.
-
Found this on a ~2 hour YouTube surf. I love him.
-
Fucking hell, he's so bad at picking jobs if that happens.
-
Fuck sake, Lingard. Need a Forest goal and a Ndidi card for £125 from a daft free £1 bet builder.
-
I agree but think it's mainly down to Bruno staying fit pre and post World Cup now as well as who we bring in in January, as we were in top 4 form post January last season with Wood, Fraser and Murphy often being our front 3.

Was one of the many individual errors that cost us points under Howe pre-January, Darlow at fault for 2, arguably all 3 Brentford goals, Clark v Norwich, pen at Leicester, Shelvey at Liverpool, Clark & Dubravka v Man City. So many. That game was organised chaos, absolutely mental game of football. Remember having the most hoarse voice due to screaming my head off in Tilley's post match, sounded like Christian Bale in the Batman suit. Great atmosphere. And you're right, Joelinton's incredible improvement in form started in that game rather than the Norwich one, he was unbelievable and slipped at the last in the final 10 minutes to make it 4-3, what could've been. That Chelsea game was fucking grim. My first game back since Benitez left and it was absolutely pathetic, those 3 games under Jones were rancid.

I get what you mean and I largely agree but at the same time I wouldn't be too thrilled if we finished 10th or 9th. We've lost one league game at SJP all year, we finished 7 points off 7th/Europe last season after not winning in the first 14 games of the season and have had a decent summer outlay which presumably will get larger in January. Instead of league position points total is probably a better gauge of progress; it took us until December 27th to reach 11 points last season which we have now. We have a good run of home games up to February and another transfer window to come, I'd say it'd be quite disappointing if we don't break 55 points. Over 60 will likely get us Europe of some sort. Just enjoying it though I thoroughly agree with. Couldn't have imagined typing any of the above a year ago.

Nkunku got 35 goals and 20 assists from 52 games in all competitions last season. Outrageous numbers. Whether that's Bundesliga tax remains to be seen but he was probably my dream urealistic signing before the Maddison links (who I don't think is unrealistic at all now).

"When Wilson joined from Bournemouth for £20million ($22.3m) in 2020, he turned down Aston Villa, accepting a lower salary than they were offering to go to Newcastle." Villa, absolutely finished

Fewmin, he's quality. Hope he flops.
