Paqueta HAULED off.

West Ham are so poor. Early days like, but shame we couldn't have an extra 4 points on them from yesterday and Palace.
-
If ASM and/or Wilson are back and Bruno is match fit we'll win this, narrowly though, really rate these. And going down for this with my dad, rail strike permitting. His first away game since the Marseille semi final in 2004. Hopefully a better result, assuming we can get down there.

After having slept on it I don't feel as annoyed as I did leaving the ground and in the pub. We hit the post twice and had the most possession I can ever remember us having though Bournemouth allowed us that. 1 defeat (away at Liverpool in the 98th minute) in 7 and still better players to come back. But it still was pretty dire at times, we created fuck all from open play and the penalty was the only way we were scoring. Against a side that will almost certainly be relegated this season, its pretty shit. Reminded me of a few games in the Championship under Benitez against the dross when we didn't get the early goal, we'd look clueless in regards to breaking down a stubborn defence. We massively missed ASM today, Fraser and Almiron are one trick ponies, Championship level footballers tbh. Something Howe will have to work on sans ASM, when we have the onus and lions' share of possession because the teams we expect to finish 15th and lower will do what Bournemouth did at SJP. But he can't work on it with Almirón, Fraser, Murphy, Wood et al from the rest of the squad. Its our achilles heel and has to be sorted in the next 2 windows. As a result this season will probably be a lot more similar to 2000-01 under SBR than a few; Howe coming in the season before and turning us around from a toxic cloud and certain relegation to brilliant form and 11th place but getting injuries to key players hindering us. Next season will likely be the one we make the big strides towards 7th/6th, which is as frustrating and irritating as it is exciting.

Think when Wilson returns for another 3 games before getting injured again Isak will start alongside him; on a starting lineup it'll look like he's playing RW but he'll be a lot more central and closer to Wilson with Trippier providing the width as we saw yesterday.
-
He's bang on. Alex was starved today of anything really. Well taken pen, mind.
-
Have full faith in him, been incredibly unlucky with VAR etc but today was pretty fucking shit. Don't think it's that outlandish to say that. We'll have just as bad performances as we will good ones this season which is par for the course given this squad's depth, not Howe's fault in the slightest. But that today was wank.
-
We were and are severely lacking creativity and width. Felt that our game plan was just Trippier and inshallah. Simply just not good enough if we want to get into Europe. He's shite. Not good enough and never will be; I've tried to keep faith longer than quite a few but if he's showing fuck all against a side that will finish either 20th or 19th, when will he ever come good? His 'final ball' has been lacking since he signed for us: 3 and a half years ago. That position was an issue that we didn't address in the summer and we'll suffer as a result.

1 goal involvement in 38 appearances.

That as well but when people have a go at Man City for shite home atmospheres it's no wonder when the vast majority of their games are like ours today, only they actually create stuff and score goals and have been for >5 years -

We were at home to a team we were expecting to beat, had over 70% possession, put in a shite performance and created fuck all from open play during a 3pm kick off. It's no wonder the atmosphere was as flat as a witch's tit. -
He runs out wide, puts his foot on the ball, turns and passes backwards. Every time. He's not good enough, RW was a gaping squad issue that we didn't address in the window. Joelinton (whom on here I was told was good enough on the ball for us to get into the top 6 in the coming years yesterday) was shite, Schar was shocking in possession, Fraser wasteful and Isak starved of anything. Bruno and Willock would have the ball in front of the Bournemouth box frequently in the second half with no one actually in the box besides Isak, and people are blaming Willock for that! Who's he meant to aim for? Milburn's ghost? We were rank, the result was a disgrace and probably a few, myself included, need to rethink our chances of getting 7th. 6 points dropped at Wolves away, Palace and Bournemouth at home. Shit.
-
Absolutely fucking vile result. Almost everyone predicted them to finish either 20th or 19th and we couldn't beat them or create an open play chance against them at home. Rancid.

FWIW I'm glad to be moving past this after tomorrow. Given the Brentford game is near enough a year to the day since the takeover I can't wait to see what yous have planned for then and we can get back to the main matter of the absolutely amazing work this group does in SJP and has been doing for ~6 years now. @Heron -

A group who are regularly ridiculed still today and have been oppressed throughout history purely because of who they like shagging are indeed far less important to commemorate/made to feel welcome than an unelected monarch sitting in palaces whilst many in this country go cold and starving. There's a good, true and proper patriot. Had your vaccine yet? -
Agree. He has a niche where he's good at what he does which certainly isn't here. And that's okay. Whey, Dyche isn't fat and calling the football he plays percentage football is a bit of an insult to him imo. If you look into his coaching and tactical insight he definitely isn't in the classic PFM mould. All because he said that Bruce is decent to have a drink with once every year? Bit of a reach.
-
Well he didn't have much of a choice tbf. Bruce had at the time the biggest net spend in this club's history hence why he's fucking abysmal, Dyche kept Burnley up for 5 seasons on very limited resources.
-
Not much to talk about tbf. Can't blame him. Did laugh when a throw in went out for a goal kick and he just went incredibly miserably "this game's been awful"

Would rather the group disbanded or club folded tbh. -
