  1. We were always going to drop outside the top 4 given some teams play 3 times before we next play a team in the league that isn't Man City. Games in hand, and finally getting a fucking break with the international break coming up will be a godsend tbh ahead of a crucial run in, especially at home.
  2. They're shocking, like. Kane, Kulusevski et al just dig them out the shit over and over. Bentancur will be a miss for them but I'll actually be a bit disappointed if they finish above us.
  3. Probably still reeling in negativity from yesterday but not a chance we're beating these next week atm, like.
  4. Isak's at Anfield disallowed, but that's given as on.
  5. Was going to happen especially given the result yesterday tbf. Including today, Liverpool and Spurs play 3 times before we play a league game that isn't Man City (A).
  6. Was a finish like a striker who has scored 1 goal in 11 appearances.
  7. The Liverpool fans started clapping like, as did some of our lot who are almost incapable of doing a minute's silence. Knew it was gonna happen.
  8. Class today. 1v1 with yards to run into he's electric. Just need to give him minutes, same with Isak.
  9. It may well be a bit of an opportunity missed this season not splashing in January but that was never the plan. I'm not so confident in getting top 4 now given Liverpool will play 3 times before we play a game that isn't Man City (a). But we're in pole position to get some kind of European football which, after struggling against relegation for so much of last season, is a hell of a bonus when factoring in the bigger picture. Thinking "awh Bruno and Botman will fuck off then" is a bit overly pessimistic. Quasi masochistic.
  10. Went bold with the 4-3-2 with ten men, but with the pace of ASM and Isak obviously had opportunities even with 10. Not long ago when we would shame ourselves in a scenario like that. Definitely didn't this time and its testament to this man's tactical nous and respect amongst the players.

Had a grandstand view of it, pure instinct. Right shame. Especially as he's probably been our player of the season so far.
  12. Aye. I'd have sacked him and brought Benitez in in January last season.
  13. That couldn't have gone any worse. Shocking start defensively cost us. Saint-Maximin was excellent, Wilson should score late on, didn't disgrace ourselves. Not exactly the tonic ahead of next Sunday which I'm not confident for in the slightest anymore. Think top 4 is looking a way beyond us a bit now, given its now 1 win in 8. And Liverpool play 3 times before we play a fixture that isn't Man City away. Happy days. Rank.
  14. Horrible news. Big part of the promotion team and the side that initially kept us up in the couple years that followed. Seemed a lovely guy too. RIP.
  15. Amazed they've taken action like. Bald cunt robbed us of a perfectly good goal at home to Palace. Could end up costing us a CL spot due to those (potentially) lost 2 points.
  16. Robert having a bite to eat and a pint down the Quayside going by his Instagram story. At the game tomorrow probably, anyone reckon they've invited those who played regularly under SBR to the game as part of the tribute?
  17. I think I managed to stay for the whole game iirc. Was unbelievable how utterly shit we were, 1 ball either over the top or straight through the middle of the centre halves and Sturridge and Coutinho were through on goal. Think we conceded the exact same goal 3 or 4 times. Christ, me PTSD is getting triggered.
  18. Most vile game I've been to and there's a few contenders. But it's between that or the second mackem 0-3 I think. Pardew the common denominator, obvs. Nah that was 1-5, 2008 under Kinnear. They destroyed us under Allardyce as well in the previous season but that was 0-3.
  19. The 0-6 was abysmal, mind. First home game after the Di Canio mackem thrashing. Heady days.
  20. Fairly sure that Howe had shown the players clips and stuff from times gone by either last season or earlier this season. They'll know who Keegan is. I was born in 2000 and have more knowledge (and club shirts and training wear) from the Keegan period than from when I first started going to games in 2006-10.
  21. Back in 2014. https://www.eurosport.com/football/premier-league/2012-2013/manchester-city-v-sunderland-called-off-due-to-storm_sto4133610/story.shtml?amp=1
  22. I'm a maybe. All just depends on what myself and those I usually go to the match with are doing for that game (assuming its on the same day) and my own personal fitness. Had far too much beer recently and more takeaways this past couple months than Danny Malin, fat as fuck.
  23. Makes that "limited edition" or whatever the fuck Castore dross look good.
