  1. I'm a maybe. All just depends on what myself and those I usually go to the match with are doing for that game (assuming its on the same day) and my own personal fitness. Had far too much beer recently and more takeaways this past couple months than Danny Malin, fat as fuck.
  2. Makes that "limited edition" or whatever the fuck Castore dross look good.
  3. Aye, I watched Feyenoord v Lazio pre WC and the atmosphere was just unreal. Desperately want to see us play Champions League football like, but Europa League football being back is a hell of a consolation.
  4. Close to if not over a grand I think? For a new one anyway, unsure on what people on the price freeze deal pay. My seat for this game was 67(!) quid so I imagine that's what it's about. Baulked at paying 67 like but with the availability at the time it was either pay that or don't get in, and like fuck am I missing any home games this season.
  5. I know the Champions League is the be all and end all and where everyone wants to be, but the Europa League is mint like. Some great potential away trips and clubs in it. We better not even dare of finishing outside the top 6. If you don't like it you've been scarred by Pardew.
  6. Nah, bottom corner of L2D. Right next to the director's box but on the Gallowgate side. Lowest number I was in the queue for this game was ~4000th so I couldn't get my usual old ST East Stand seat next to me fatha and that was all that was left. Last time I sat there I think was for the AZ Alkmaar game back in 2007, when I was still a bairn.
  7. Brother is up for this game so starting down the Tyne Bar at around noon. Lord. Also in the Platinum Club with the Ponteland middle class mags for this for the first time since 2007ish. Have genuinely no idea where I'm going. There turnstiles for it or? pls help
  8. At SJP, we didn't come from behind at HT to win in the league for over 12 years. December 2006, 3-2 v Reading, 1-2 down at HT. January 2019, 2-1 v Man City, 0-1 down at HT.
  9. He was dropped after that game. We lost against Arsenal and then again at West Brom. After that Stoke game on Boxing Day we were 6 points off top. Sold Cabaye and it all fell apart, first time the anti-Ashley malaise really started kick off since the Keegan debacle iirc. Anger at Hughton's sacking only lasted for the build up to that Liverpool game iirc, may be wrong like. Was only just about to turn 10.
  10. Tickled at his recent Insta post, its down the Powerleague in Dunston. Plenty of unfit morons such as I have graced that astro.
  11. Cabaye v Stoke at home in the 2011-12 season another. 2 goals and an unreal assist.
  12. Recency bias is killing me here. Krul v Spurs away 13/14 Wilson v Arsenal last home game of last season, without scoring somehow. Bruno v Brentford at home this season? There'll be a few others I'm just not remembering.
  13. Real lack of the 'ah hord yi' bloke on some of our flags iyam.
  14. Ipswich Town are sending us a flag for Saturday for Sir Bobby's birthday, apparently. Mint. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-suffolk-64628905
  15. Forgot that his birthday was this coming Saturday. If the atmosphere against those fucking doylems at the weekend isn't belting then I despair.
  16. No email for me. Not too down as I knew there was negligible chance, just a tad disappointed when my dad and everyone we go to the match with are all going except me. Ah well. Just hope I can get to 1 or 2 aways in the rest of this season if anyone can help me out to satisfy the FOMO.
  17. Everton not heard of the concept of professional fouls?
  18. Will whitey if that nonce is allowed to do similar at SJP.
  19. Howay the Ev. Everton mate of mine is in the away end tonight, been on the drink since 1pm
  20. I remember early season when we had that great run of wins in October and November we got compared in the sense of playstyle and personnel to early Klopp Liverpool, 2015-17ish. I had a look back at their first full season under Klopp and I can see a few similarities. They didn't have any European football and only lost 2 of their first 21 league games, one of which was a stoppage time defeat at Bournemouth. Around NYE they were 2nd (we went briefly 2nd after Leicester away). Then in January, they lost Mane to the AFCON and went on a run of 1 win in 10 in all competitions, briefly dropping out of the top 4, before winning 8 of their last 12 to secure 4th place. Their top scorers that season also finished with only 13 league goals each, similar to what Almiron and Wilson are likely going to finish on this season providing Wilson doesn't keel owa again. They also didn't recruit in January despite losing Mane for a brief period. Mane's importance to Liverpool then is probably fairly comparable to Bruno's for us now. Once Mane returned, Liverpool's form did also, losing only 1 game in that last 12. They got top 4 and in the summer got Salah and Robertson. Van Dijk in the January after trying for him in the summer also, and we all know how transformative they've been. In addition in terms of the league I only am concerned with Spurs and probably Brighton's results atm. The gap between 4th and 5th, similar to being more concerned with the gap between us and 3rd in the Championship season under Benitez. We also may drop out of the top 4 for a period like Liverpool did in that first full Klopp season, especially with our games in hand v West Ham and Brighton still to come. When that happens I hope the fans don't shit the bed and that transferring into the matchday atmospheres. Not holding my breath though.
  21. Not when teams sit off against us in a low block it doesn't imo. Think that role, as we saw at Liverpool, is best for him when we're the side that's sitting off and he can use his ability to beat players and his pace in 1v1 situations.
  22. That's another thing which can be seen as positive or tragic (probably tragic as its fucking February ), we haven't even had our best side out yet. Wilson, ASM, Bruno and Isak have never been fit and on the pitch at the same time as each other once this season.
  23. Hope the atmosphere is absolutely vile for that lot given the ending of the reverse game. Last video in the OP for a little memory jog.
