  1. I see the mackem cycle has come back around and is starting again. Fantastic. 1. Get a new manager. 2. Win a few games under him. 3. Claim their new manager is better than whoever is in charge of NUFC, and that they're either as good as NUFC and/or would beat us easily regardless of league position and actual league that the two respective clubs are in. 4. Go on a poor run, and turn on new manager. 5. Manager gets sacked. 6. See point 1, rinse repeat.
  2. Unavailability is our identity.

    England

Didn't watch the game but just seen the winning goal. Good grief.
  4. I don't think he will; we had the chances to sign players to allow us to evolve how we play but didn't, this summer or last. Hope I'm wrong on that, like. And nah. He doesn't play with one. Never has done AFAIK. And was Isak not on the left in those games? He absolutely should not be in an auxiliary role like that from the start as he's far too good for that. In behind the striker may be a shout but that'll hardly happen as Wilson is barely available anymore.
  5. Paper tickets and a restriction on when memberships are sold, say June-July are when they are on sale, no limit to them but once the window is shut it's shut, would reduce it massively imo. Touting was never the issue it was now post-takeover and pre–e-ticket/ballot/changes.
  6. I get where you're coming from, but ID checks and face scanning to go to a football match? Howay. 1984-tastic. I understand the way the world is moving with technology but e-tickets have got to be one of the most pointless changes in football. AFAIC, all they have brought in is all negative; incredibly easy to tout and ridiculous queues at the ground. And that's not just for us either.
  7. Correct. In all competitions we've lost 9 home games under Howe. Man City 2x Liverpool 3x Arsenal 1x Forest 1x Cambridge Utd 1x ( ) Dortmund 1x Milan 1x
  8. Got mine, 2 in my usual East Stand block. But as has been mentioned there'll be touts and probably away fans all over it. Highest queue spot was 57k. Don't think it's ever that high for non big 6 fixtures.

  10. Was admittedly full of drink of just back in the pub post match when I posted that so may be being harsh. We had total control of the game yesterday, thought we had won the midfield battle and the only way they were going to score especially second half would've been from our mistake. Just had a feeling that Gordon wasn't going to put that pen away as soon as he stepped up. Wanted to see Schär take it but hindsight and all that. Felt we had plenty crossing opportunities but no one to aim for, which is a bit confusing when we have a 6'4 striker sat on the bench. If he's not ready for matches like that, why did we sign him and why is he on the bench at all? I just didn't think we created many chances. When did we other than when Gordon skied that shot from the angle second half? When did we work Pickford? I can't remember us doing so, but I probably need to watch the match back again when I get in.
  11. We're not good enough to break teams that sit deep down, especially away from home. Not good enough. Just isn't.
  12. Had malaise between the fans and the board grown unsustainable by the time McFaul got the sack? Me dad reckons he could've turned it around as we were usually slow starters under him. Then again, had we not gone down in 1989, no Keegan.
  13. Was it 45 seconds or something before we were losing?
  14. We've had some awful days there. Seemed to me we'd always serve up our worst performance of the season in this fixture 2011-2016. There and St. Mary's. The 1-4 in April 2023 though is one of my favourite ever Newcastle games I've been to. Was on the drink in Liverpool with my Everton mate from 2pm and was absolutely honking during the first half*. Barely remember a thing of it. Second half was unreal though. *same plan with the same lad tomorrow so hopefully a similar result.

    On this day...

Best experience I've had following us, I reckon. Will never forget the ground being almost full and the atmosphere within 20 minutes before kick off whilst the warm ups were still going on. And this game was also the first one the ballot gods gave me as a success. And the seat they gave wasn't bad either.
  16. Got a ticket for this, now. All that pestering to see Gordon drop a 2/10 and us to lose 2-0.
  17. Unsuccessful for Assna as well. 1/6. I've accepted that there'll be far more failures than successes this season due to the split of available seats between ballot and general sale. I rather selfishly prefer this season's system though.
  18. Saw Isak dribble past 5 of their players right in front of me in my last trip to Goodison in that hilarious 1-4 game. If I'm there our chances go up that we'll win. Which is why someone should help me get a ticket imo.
  19. Any spares for Saturday going? Please.
  20. Also still after a ticket for this and will be up to Friday night, so please. Anyone. Been asking all over for weeks
