What a load of shit that is.

The Cardiff protest against Pardew game, the Allardyce 0-3 loss to Liverpool and that game against Bournemouth is the most toxic I can remember SJP being. Was too young to remember the 0-1 loss to Sheffield United under Roeder which is also up there.

FC BARCELONA @ Camp Nou I think the performance against these at SJP on top of the performance and result at Chelsea on Saturday might've just nudged this into being mission possible. Win a game of football and we're into the Champions League quarter finals. It's that simple (or take it to extra time and potentially pens if still level). Our third time at the Camp Nou; third time lucky, fingers crossed. LAST TIME OUT? We've been here twice before and lost both times, conceding 4 and scoring 1 across those two games (which was scored by Shola rather infamously). Both those games coming in group stages, albeit the 2002-03 trip came in the second group stage - still technically a last 16 game but in a different format. You can see our equaliser below if you can work out which pixel is Shola. However, we deserved to win the home leg of this tie. Yamal should be suspended as should Fermin Lopez but the ref was a cunt. As per. WHAT ABOUT THEM CURRENTLY? Still top of La Liga. They beat Sevilla 5-2 on Saturday and have one of if not the best home record in Europe currently. They have won 17 of their 18 home games in all competitions scoring 59 goals. The one home game that they didn't win took place at the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys whilst the Camp Nou was being renovated; that was a late loss to an understrength PSG in the league stage. Basically, they're quite good at home. HOW WELL DO WE DO IN SPAIN? 2005/06 Lost 2-1 v Deportivo La Coruna (Intertoto Cup) 2003/04 Won 0-3 v Real Mallorca (UEFA Cup) 2002/03 Lost 3-1 v Barcelona (Champions League) 1997/98 Lost 1-0 v Barcelona (Champions League) 1994/95 Lost 1-0 v Atletico Bilbao (UEFA Cup) 1968/69 Lost 3-2 v Real Zaragoza (Fairs Cup) So, probably the toughest fixture in world football awaits us. If we can somehow manage to become the first English club to win at the Camp Nou since Rafa Benitez's Liverpool in 2006-07, we're in the Champions League quarter final. No pressure.

We did to an extent in August tbf.

Standard of PL football to watch this season is fucking garbage.
-
Scoring the winning goal is the only thing between them.
-
Hoping that’s a West Ham away result before the final last season esque from us tonight ahead of Wednesday. Much needed belief that we can defend, especially against good sides away from home.
-
Thought Europe was gone after that loss to Everton but didn’t see tonight coming at all. Beat the mackems and it may be on.
-
2022-23 defensive performance, that. Superb.
-
Thought he was excellent tonight.
-
Man of the match, easy.
-
What a fucking result. Hats off to everyone.
-
Been one of our best away halves of the season, that. Hope we can capitalise and get a result rather than do the collapse thingy.

The Woltemade in midfield nonsense continues, I’m tired boss.
-
Tonali rubbish on Tuesday and 45 points left to play for this season? Yorkie been on the sniff?
-
Whilst I agree I can’t see Galatasaray getting past Liverpool either. They tried their best to throw a 5-2 lead against Juventus in the play off as well

He's been excellent in the CL tactically this season. He's 1 or 2 missed chances in the league stage game against Barca and a Nick Pope brainfart at Marseille away from being unbeaten in it this season. Irritating thing is is if we had an Isak or Ekitike up front I'd back us to get to the final. Fucking cunts.
-
Can’t remember the last time we did go there in good form tbf. 2021-22 maybe? We were robbed as well.

I think he has been better in 2026 so far but that needs to be reflected in goals and assists. He got into good positions last night but his final ball let him down.

Mixed feelings atm; pride at that performance. I thought we were great, the better side and deserved to beat Barcelona tonight. Joelinton and Burn I thought were excellent. I was thinking with 20 minutes to go I’d take 0-0. Make the second leg a one off game. But to take the lead so late and still not win is so fucking annoying. Twats. We’re still in it.
