Jamaal Lascelles (now playing for League One Leicester City)
Happinesstan replied to Nobody's topic in Football
I agree. Nowt against the lad but he peaked under Rafa and led by example. In the two years since he's allowed the club, and himself, to fester. I know most will never forgive him for that, but it's got to be soul-destroying trying to motivate Ashley employees. -

Leicester City 4 - 0 Newcastle United (12/12/2021)

Oh dear. -
Now, if the font of the sign that was replaced by Jabba was a homage to this [it looks similar], then I think it should definitely be returned.

I believe intent was the missing ingredient, previously.

It is, I believe, still possible to buy footballers without a DOF.
-
It certainly appears that way, but if we could retain more possession then that would reduce the need. If Gini replaced Willock, we'd be exactly the same as we are but give it away less.

Aye but you often see reports in $ these days. And I wouldn't put it past a journo to change 100k to 100-200k. I'm sure that's week 1 of B-tec media studies.

Is £74k not roughly $100k?

If the people doing the work got paid entertainer's wages I'd agree.

ASM taking the shortcut will no doubt get the tongues wagging.

Leicester City vs. Newcastle United - 12/12/21 @ 2pm (Sky Sports)

Against Burnley the expectation of a win was greater so we were always going to take more risks. The defensive display against Arsenal is a better indication of how we will play against Leicester. -

Defence is certainly a weak point, but the last 3 games [clean sheet, one thunderbastard with 10 men, and restricting Arsenal to two brilliant goals] have shown they're no longer a disaster waiting to happen. If we can restrict Leicester like we did Arsenal we might get a result. -
He might be brilliant and might get injured on 1st Feb. We don't want to revert to Ritchie, and Dummett will impact the gameplan, so I'd say we definitely need another LB.
-
I think we really need a left footer to cover that side and allow Lewis to breathe. Somebody that can also play LB in case Lewis gets injured would be ideal, I think. Dummett being fit would be like a new signing but he's not the answer we're looking for.
-
He did it all for himself [no shame] and we were lucky to be blessed by his bountiful harvest. His love for the club is similar to Bruce's, professional. I know it's just a rumour, but I can well believe he'd turn down a position as ambassador, because the salary wasn't enough. He's also pals with Lineker who commands a pretty fortune for punditry not based on his skills as a pundit, but purely his status. Being Gary Lineker for an hour.
-
He's definitely a legend, but like all legends who use their status to continue to profit he risks tarnishing that reputation. He certainly isn't anywhere near legendary status as a pundit.

"Flat enough? You 'ad it lucky, sunshine. "when I were a lad we'd play on Nun's Moor, with rolling hills. Near post was 7' and the far post was 5'

Reminds me of the time I worked at Dirty Dicks.

We've never played 443

Aye. That's a bit precious.

0:23 is that a younger version of the bloke that stole the football?
-
If we had a stronger middle we could let Joe do his thing on the right hand side and leave Almiron free in the middle, with a little bit of responsibility in backing up ASM.
-
That was a hell of a bounce mind. Maybe we didn't come back down.
