The Consortium would not buy a "Championship Club" for the money that they have agreed with Ashley to buy Newcastle United for. Hopefully, we will not be relegated, but if we are a Premier League Club in the Championship for a season - who cares? Certainly the Consortium won't care, why would they. Can people not understand the difference between a Championship Club and a Premier League Club temporarily in the Championship? After all we have done it twice under Ashley, so it would be no hardship under the Consortium and with Benitez at the helm. It would not affect the Takeover, it wouldn't really affect the development of the club under the new owners either, as they will have to replace pretty well 100% of the playing staff and non-playing staff, no matter which division we are in when they take over the club. The logic of this is obvious, but (I suppose) "cue the scatter-gun vitriol" !!!!! Ashley imho would not sell at a reduced price and nobody would pay that amount for a championship club and there lies the problem. If you think he would reduce the price fair enough, but, history doesn’t back up that theory. My post explains that the Takeover would not be affected - the 'price' will remain the same, by a season in the 2nd Division. So you really think they would pay the same price for a championship club? I think you’re living in lala land there mind if you do. As I say above, a Premier League Club in the Championship for a season (with all their money and Benitez) is a very different animal to a "Championship Club". There is no such thing as a PL club in the championship for a season.

Who is scoring the goals? Wilson and Almirón are back after the international break, like. May well be too little too late but hey ho. They'll be rushed back and susceptible to further injuries. If he'd gone for the win today he could have taken less risk in bringing them back. But it's all about point accumulation.

He scored 4 goals from January till May in the best team in the league. When he doesn't score he offers nothing. He had half a decent season He was injured, on and off, for most of that period.

"That's for sure"

I hope Fulham beat Liverpool. All this "A point is good" is taking that match as a foregone conclusion.

Was thinking the same. What’s this all about? Not watching on Amazon. They've been endlessly praising his contribution.

Robson-Kanu to come on and score the winner.

I love the way he turned Neil Warnock's passion into a defence of Bruce.

Is that Carney that everybody dislikes? First impression; she seems very self conscious. -

Bastards at amazon have given me a month free so I'm watching this. Fully expect to fall asleep. -
If I had the money myself I'd pay it to get rid of the odious fat cunt. Cheaper to hire a hitman. Could probably get Ashley as part of the deal as well.
-
Don't think we'll get more than 5 points from our remaining fixtures.

Yeap. Willock and Joelinton chances were easier. Ah no bother then maybe I am being dumb thinking a 25 million pound player should be able to finish a one on one chance with loads of time to set them self. Joelinton is also shit. Salah missed a one on one against us. A much easier one. He cost £35m. Probably worth, what, £75m now? Is he shit too? I am not Judging it on one game or just because he missed that one chance, unlike most on here. He said "starting to prove a few people on here wrong." basically because his form has improved in past few games. My argument is a few better games does not prove anyone wrong. Still no real end product but lots of running. Well if he said "Starting to", he's not claiming that anybody has actually been proven wrong.

I'll never forget the goal he scored in a 3-1 win over Man City on the last home game of the season. I was in the benches front row, and from there it looked like a diving header 10 feet off the ground.

He divided opinion a lot of the time. Always had a chip on his shoulder and I can imagine him thinking he was unfairly treated. Which he was by Sounness, he just seems the type to put it all in one bag and hate the bag.
-
I can understand it from Bellamy and Dyer as there was often divided opinion on their characters. Don't think anybody was ever harsh on Jenas though. He's just a soft cunt.

I've been Newcastle through and through for over 40 years and I'm questioning myself.
-
I've got to be honest, I find it a bit pathetic that they're having a go at him for smiling/laughing. People are reacting to a photo, whereas if you watch the walk he's actually pretty miserable for the most part. I'm sure OGS would have said something positive, to cheer him up. I'll praise the media when they question his ability as a manager without dragging the fans into it.

Newcastle United v Wolves @ 8pm on Saturday 27/02/21 (Live on Sky Sports)

Quietly confident again? What he means is he hasn't heard a single person say they are confident. -
I like the guy, but saying he's Newcastle through and through, just sounds like total shite. I wouldn't argue with him being committed, but I can't see any reason he'd be Newcastle through and through. He hasn't even played in front of fans.
